While the All-Star Game starting pitchers are Paul Skenes and Tarik Skubal, don’t make these pitchers too much of a part of your handicap for the game unless if you are only betting the first inning,

The objective of the managers during the All-Star Game is to get everyone on the roster a chance to get in the game, meaning most pitchers will likely only pitch one inning, two if it is a dire situation.

With position players, most top of the order guys will likely get two at-bats, if the pitching is really good, hitters seven through nine might only get one at-bat.

With all this taken into account, depth becomes the most important part of handicapping the All-Star Game, even if you are only doing a first five innings bet due to how many substitutions are being made.

With the National League being at home with the game being in Atlanta and Truist Park being a pretty neutral ballpark in terms of neither aiding nor hurting offensive production in comparison to other ballparks in baseball, it should give the National League a slight edge in a game where both teams have enough firepower to score at least three runs each.

Picks: National League Moneyline -105 and Over 7 Runs (Greg’s Handicap National League -117 and Total 7.3)
