Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Sunday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Sunday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. On Saturdays and Sundays, I’m going to keep these much shorter to cut down on my workload a little.
Brandon Woodruff Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-148) vs. Nationals
Nationals at Brewers – 2:10 pm ET
Woodruff’s strikeout total is up at 6.5 in most places, but you can get 5.5 by searching around. At that number, he’s definitely worth an Over play — even at juiced odds. Washington’s 19.9% strikeout rate this year is definitely on the lower side, but it should start to tick up after having been at 22.6% last year.
Brandon Nimmo Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110) vs. Dodgers
Rangers at Dodgers – 4:10 pm ET
Nimmo had a massive game on Saturday, going 3 for 4 with two homers. Well, I’m playing him to have another two or more hits, runs, and RBIs on Sunday. Nimmo is averaging 2.7 HRR against righties this season, and he averaged 2.2 HRR versus righties in 2025. This isn’t a matchup he’ll be too uncomfortable with.
Nick Pivetta Over 17.5 Outs Recorded (-139) vs. Rockies
Rockies at Padres – 4:10 pm ET
Pivetta hasn’t yet had a start in which he pitched 6.0 innings this season, but he could change that this evening. Last year, he went Over 17.5 outs recorded in seven of his 12 home starts, and I still view the Rockies as a very favorable matchup for reliable starters.
Additional Picks
Alec Bohm Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+110) vs. Diamondbacks
Pete Alonso Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-125) vs. Giants
Cam Schlittler Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-108) vs. Rays
Jose Soriano Over 16.5 Outs Recorded (-139) vs. Reds
Marcus Semien Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+115) vs. Athletics
