Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.
Brent Rooker Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110) vs. Braves
Athletics at Braves – 7:15 pm ET
I’m going back to Rooker to finish with at least two combined hits, runs, and RBIs tonight. He cashed for us yesterday, but it still feels like he’s due to do some real damage at the plate. While Rooker’s two singles yesterday were nice, this is a guy with real pop, meaning extra base hits should be coming soon. Well, I’m thinking tonight is the night. Atlanta will be starting this one with a lefty on the mount, and Rooker averaged 2.3 HRR against lefty starters in 2025 — and went Over in 21 of the 34 games. Also, tonight’s game has a total of 9. Last year, in those 34 games that Rooker played against southpaws, he averaged 2.8 HRR in the ones with totals of 9 or higher. This just should be a pretty high-scoring game, so I expect Rooker to play his part with a favorable matchup.
Shane McClanahan Over 14.5 Outs Recorded (-122) vs. Brewers
Rays at Brewers – 7:40 pm ET
We haven’t seen McClanahan in a very long time, as the southpaw needed Tommy John surgery in 2023. He then suffered a nerve injury in 2025, leading to another surgery. However, McClanahan is healthy now. In fact, the talented lefty pitched 5.0 shutout innings in his final start of Spring Training, throwing 73 pitches in the process. Now, assuming McClanahan will have a leash a little closer to 80 on Tuesday, I like his chances of recording at least 15 outs against the Brewers. Of course, that assumption has already gotten me into some trouble this season, with starters doing a very poor job of hitting their player props thus far. However, that should turn soon. And perhaps it starts here. This isn’t the perfect matchup for a lefty, as the Brewers hit southpaws pretty hard in 2025. However, at his best, McClanahan was an ace-level starter. If he’s truly back and hovering around 100% health, he should be somewhat matchup-proof.
Corbin Carroll Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110) vs. Tigers
Tigers at Diamondbacks – 9:40 pm ET
Carroll had two hits against the Tigers last night, with one being a triple and another being a homer. It was some performance from the lefty slugger, who could be in for another strong game tonight. Casey Mize is undoubtedly a solid starter, but his 2025 splits showed that he was a little weaker in road games and night games. Well, this is a road start in the evening, in a hitter-friendly park, so it’s the perfect storm of conditions Mize dislikes. Carroll is also an absolute monster against right-handed pitching. And last season, even in a bit of a down year, he went Over his total bases number in 26 of the 48 games he played against righty starters at Chase Field. With that in mind, I’ll take my chances with him swinging a hot bat right now. This game has a high total for a reason, and it’s guys like Carroll that will need to perform to get it there.
