Wednesday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Wednesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.
Cam Schlittler Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-120) vs. Mariners
Yankees at Mariners – 4:10 pm ET
Seattle had the seventh-highest strikeout rate (23.3%) in baseball last year. That makes this an interesting spot to back Schlittler, who opened up his 2026 campaign with eight strikeouts against the Giants. Schlittler has now had at least six strikeouts in six of the last seven times we’ve seen him, including a 12-strikeout outing against the Red Sox in the postseason. Schlittler has also had at least six strikeouts in six of his seven road starts as an MLB pitcher, so it’s clear he isn’t rattled pitching outside of Yankee Stadium. Well, I’m not overthinking anything here. I’m playing the 25-year-old to go for 6+ strikeouts in a strong matchup.
Ryan Jeffers Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-104) vs. Royals
Twins at Royals – 7:40 pm ET
Last year, Jeffers averaged 1.9 combined hits, runs, and RBIs when facing left-handed pitching. Well, in tonight’s game, Jeffers will be going up against Noah Cameron, who had a great season last year. The southpaw was 9-7 with a 2.99 ERA and struck out 114 batters. All of those numbers make it easy to get excited about the 26-year-old. But you know what? Jeffers doesn’t mind this matchup. He’s actually 3 for 6 with a double against Cameron in his career, making him one of the players to keep an eye on here. This game has a relatively high total when compared to the rest of the games on the slate, so some runs should be expected. Well, I think it’ll be a guy like Jeffers that gives Over bettors hope — especially with the Royals having to go up against Joe Ryan.
Teoscar Hernandez Over 1.5 Hits + Run + RBIs (+115) vs. Guardians
Guardians at Dodgers – 8:20 pm ET
Hernandez has some outrageous numbers when facing right-handed pitching in Dodger Stadium. In 2025, in the 52 games he played against righties in LA, Hernandez averaged 2.5 HRR per game and went Over a total of 1.5 HRR in 31 of the contests. Well, I don’t see any reason to doubt Hernandez tonight. Gavin Williams will be on the bump for the Guardians, so Cleveland does have a good starter out there. However, he’s not good enough to scare me off this play, especially coming off a start in which he struggled a bit against Seattle. The only thing I’m really worried about here is that Hernandez bats late in the order for a team that is heavily favored to win at home. That means he might not get too many at-bats this evening. But I’m taking my chances with this out there at plus-money odds.
