Wednesday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Wednesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.

Kyle Bradish Over 15.5 Outs Recorded (+131) vs. White Sox

Orioles at White Sox – 2:10 pm ET

I posted this play to the Pro Picks last night. Bradish is off to a slow start to the season, as he’s 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA in two starts. However, getting to face the White Sox is the ultimate get-right spot for solid starters. This season, Chicago is 26th in MLB in wRC+ (78), so this is once again looking like one of the worst offenses in the sport. Bradish actually had a pretty dominant outing against the White Sox last year, pitching 5.0 innings of one-run ball and striking out nine batters. Well, another nine strikeouts would be great today, but I’m looking for Bradish to go 5.1 innings. Realistically, as long he isn’t completely off, he should get there with a pitch count in the 90 range.

Yordan Alvarez Over 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-135) vs. Rockies

Astros at Rockies – 3:10 pm ET

Alvarez’s HRR total is absurdly high for later this afternoon, but I’m still playing the Over on it. Alvarez is 3 for 6 with a double and a homer against Michael Lorenzen, who will be on the bump for the Rockies here. You’re never supposed to overweigh batter vs. pitcher numbers, but it’s nice knowing that Alvarez has gotten the better of the righty in the past. That’s because this is a game that will be played in hitter-friendly conditions, which is why the total is up at 11.5. Of course, playing in Coors Field didn’t mean an easy Over on Tuesday. However, these teams did combine to score 16 runs in the series opener. That type of game can break out at any time in Colorado, and we’ll want a piece of Alvarez in a plus matchup if it does.

Will Warren Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+118) vs. Athletics

Athletics at Yankees – 7:05 pm ET

This is another play that I posted to the Pro Picks page last night, as I couldn’t believe I was getting plus-money odds on Warren to finish with six strikeouts. Last year, the Athletics had the 10th-highest strikeout rate (22.9%) in baseball, and they’re the worst team in the league when looking at it in 2026. This team has a strikeout rate of 30.1% early on. Of course, this is a small sample size that we’re dealing with, but it’s not crazy to think they’ll struggle to make contact after what they did last year. Well, Warren is a pitcher that can take advantage of it. He’s coming off a six-strikeout performance against the Marlins last game, and he went Over 5.5 strikeouts in six of the 10 home games he played against bottom-10 teams in strikeout rate last season. I know the plus-money number isn’t available anymore, but I’d play this up to -125.
