Here are our favorite NBA prop bets for Monday, June 12:
Miami Heat at Denver Nuggets (-9, 209.5) – Game 5
Nobody on Denver played better than Aaron Gordon in Game 4. The 27-year-old had 27 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the massive victory, and he’s a huge part of why the Nuggets have a 3-1 lead in the series. Gordon won’t be as hot from the field as he was in that one, as he shot 73.3% from the floor and 75.0% from 3. But Gordon’s ability to impact games in other ways should continue, even if he struggles from the floor.
Gordon comes into this game after having had at least seven rebounds in each of the last three games in this series. And that’s the mark we’re looking for him to reach in Game 5. Gordon is only averaging 5.9 rebounds per game since the start of the postseason, but this series has been a little kinder to him on the glass. And he actually had 10 boards in the Game 3 win over Miami.
I expect Gordon to flirt with double-digit rebounds again in Game 5, so I love that you can grab him at generous -115 odds to go over 6.5. The Nuggets are playing to close out this series and win an NBA title, so his adrenaline should be through the roof in front of a packed house at Ball Arena. That’ll also help him on the boards, as he’ll be soaring through the sky early on.
These props have been very kind to us since we’ve been able to lock in and focus on one player at a time in the NBA Playoffs. So, let’s hit this play on Gordon because this very well could be the last game of the NBA season.
