Charlotte Hornets at New Orleans Pelicans – 8:00 pm ET

The Pelicans are absolutely miserable. They’re also going to be sending their first-round pick to the Hawks this year, and that’s a pick that could end up getting Atlanta one of the absolute studs in the 2026 draft class. However, New Orleans isn’t going to go 0-82 this season. The Pelicans will win a bunch of games, and I think this is going to be one of them.

While Charlotte already has three wins this season, this team is missing Brandon Miller and could be without LaMelo Ball tonight. But even if Ball plays, this is a game in which New Orleans will have more talent scattered throughout the rotation, the team will be playing at home, and the group should be somewhat motivated to finally get in the win column.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Hornets are just 3-10 straight-up as road underdogs of 6 or fewer points under Charles Lee. They’re also 10-22 SU against Western Conference opponents under Lee. Meanwhile, for as bad as things have been under Willie Green, the Pelicans are 59-32 SU as home favorites with him on the sidelines.

Let’s just hope Zion Williamson plays in this game. He’s currently listed as questionable for New Orleans. If he suits up, he should absolutely dominate a Charlotte team that is weak on the wing.

Bet: Pelicans ML (-129 – 1.5 units)

UPDATE: LaMelo Ball and Zion Williamson are now out for tonight’s game.

PARLAY: Hawks Alt +10.5 vs. Magic & Thunder ML vs. Clippers (-125) Trae Young is out for the Hawks, but the rest of the injury report looks clean. Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Dyson Daniels, and Luke Kennard should be able to do just fine operating on the ball, and Jalen Johnson can also run the offense. That said, I’m not sure Atlanta is going to tail off the way people are expecting, and I definitely don’t see this group getting blown out by Orlando. The Magic are still a pretty lousy offensive team, and the Hawks have length to disrupt all of their scorers. Meanwhile, in the second game, it sure looks like Kawhi Leonard is going to be out for a Los Angeles team that also happens to be playing the second leg of a back-to-back. It’d be surprising if the Clippers can win outright against a well-rested Thunder team.

Bulls ML (-120) vs. 76ers

Suns +10.5 (-120) vs. Warriors
