Noteworthy OptaAI Player Prop Edges for Thursday

Below you’ll find some of the projections that stood out when looking at our OptaAI NBA Player Prop projections. Subscribers have access to hundreds of others on a daily basis!

AJ Green Over 2.5 Made 3s (-105) vs. 76ers

76ers at Bucks – 8:00 pm ET

Milwaukee will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo for a week or two, so it’s going to be harder for the Bucks to generate offense these next couple of games. However, the OptaAI player prop projections still have Green finishing with 3.50 triples tonight, which is a pretty big edge to the Over on his total of 2.5 makes from 3-point range. Green has gone Over this number in 11 of 15 games this season, but can he do it without the attention Giannis demands?

Cole Anthony Over 4.5 Assists (-106) vs. 76ers

76ers at Bucks – 8:00 pm ET

Another Bucks player is in the good graces of the projections, as OptaAI has Anthony finishing with 5.89 assists tonight. This is one I actually looked at myself, but I ended up deciding to play something with Ryan Rollins instead. However, there will be plenty of opportunities for Anthony to make plays in this one, and he has had at least five dimes in three straight games.

Zach LaVine Over 18.5 Points (-106) vs. Grizzlies

Kings at Grizzlies – 8:00 pm ET

LaVine has scored only eight points in back-to-back games, which is a little odd for a player with his ability to put the ball in the hole. OptaAI has him busting out of the slump tonight, projecting him for 22.88 points. That’s the biggest edge to a total that OptaAI has for tonight’s four-game slate.

Thursday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Thursday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.

Nicolas Batum Over 4.5 Points (-129) vs. Magic

Clippers at Magic – 7:00 pm ET

Batum has scored at least six points in each of the last four games. He has also had at least six in five of the last six contests. Perhaps more importantly, Batum has played at least 20 minutes in each of the last six contests. And that playing time might be on the rise. Los Angeles just lost Derrick Jones Jr. to an injury, meaning the two small forwards ahead of Batum on the depth chart are out. The veteran will likely flirt with 25 minutes of action in this one, and that makes five points seem extremely reasonable.

Batum obviously isn’t going to be beating guys off the dribble or anything, but he’s a good spot-up shooter. He could also be good for a finish or two at the basket as a cutter.

We just don’t need much to happen in order for this play to hit, so it feels worth a shot at -129. One triple puts us more than halfway there.

Ryan Rollins Over 27.5 Points + Assists (-114) vs. 76ers

76ers at Bucks – 8:00 pm ET

With Antetokounmpo out, somebody is going to need to do some damage for the Bucks. Why not Ryan “Freakin” Rollins? Rollins had 32 points and eight assists against the Warriors in a Giannis-less game on October 30. In the other game he played without the Greek Freak, Rollins had 25 points and six dimes in a meeting with the Hornets.

Rollins is pretty clearly going to be the main guy over the next two weeks, so he should be able to put up some numbers in a strong matchup. The 76ers are last in the NBA when it comes to defending PnR ball handlers. Philly also struggles in transition. That said, Rollins can do some damage as long as he doesn’t go wildly cold with his jumper.
