Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.
Royce O’Neale Over 9.5 Points (-110) vs. Heat
Suns at Heat – 7:30 pm ET
O’Neale is averaging 14.5 points per game over the last four games, which likely has a lot to do with the return of Grayson Allen. We actually haven’t seen Allen get going since returning, but he does so much for Phoenix when it comes to spacing. O’Neale has enjoyed the extra room, along with being one of the guys that opponents can’t afford to pay too much attention to. Tonight, I don’t see him disappearing. The Heat are just 17th in the NBA guarding catch-and-shoot jumpers. O’Neale should take advantage of that, as he scores 67% of his points on those looks. O’Neale should also do some damage in transition. This is just a game that should be played at a rapid pace, creating opportunities for some role players to make things happen. O’Neale should be one of them.
Onyeka Okongwu Over 3.5 Assists (-103) vs. Lakers
Hawks at Lakers – 10:30 pm ET
Kristaps Porzingis continues to deal with the illness that has tortured him for two consecutive seasons. That means Atlanta needs Okongwu to play heavy minutes at the center position. That has resulted in Okongwu doing some good work as a passer. In the last four games that Okongwu has played without Porzingis, he’s averaging 5.8 assists per game and has had at least four dimes in each of them. Okongwu has also had at least four assists in seven of the last nine games he has played without Porzingis. Well, Okongwu now goes up against a Los Angeles team that is 26th in the NBA in defensive rating (118.0) over the last 15 games. The Lakers could also have tired legs after having faced the Kings last night. Okongwu should take advantage by finding cutters and shooters.
