Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.

Nolan Traore Over 16.5 Points + Assists (+100) vs. Hornets

Hornets at Nets – 7:30 pm ET

Traore is coming off a game in which he had 17 points and six assists against the Kings. Tonight’s matchup will be a little tougher, as the Hornets have been a top-10 defense (110.8 raw DRTG) since the All-Star break. However, Traore’s speed makes him an advantage-creator, and I think he’ll be able to beat guys like LaMelo Ball and Kon Knueppel off the bounce. Of course, he’ll need to be able to finish from there, which isn’t exactly a guarantee. However, I’ll take my chances given how well he has played lately. Traore is averaging 11.2 points and 5.8 assists per game over the last six contests. He’s also averaging 12.5 points and 5.2 assists per game in his last 12 home games, going Over this combined points and assists total in eight of the 12.

Austin Reaves Over 21.5 Points (-125) vs. Cavaliers

Cavalierse at Lakers – 10:30 pm ET

Reaves is averaging 24.0 points per game in the last five game that he has played with Luka Doncic against defenses that are bottom-15 in defensive rating, bottom-10 in isolation, and bottom-10 guarding spot-ups. Well, the Cavaliers are there. This game also has the highest total on the board, so we should see some good offensive performances. I’m very high on the Cavaliers this season, believing there’s a chance this team goes all the way to the NBA Finals. However, Donovan Mitchell and James Harden don’t make up the strongest defensive pairing. Reaves should be able to consistently get two feet in the paint against them, and he should also be able to knock down some threes. I’ll also add that Reaves is averaging 25.3 points per game when he plays with Luka and without Marcus Smart, and the latter might miss tonight’s game.
