Noteworthy OptaAI Player Prop Edges for Tuesday
Below you’ll find some of the projections that stood out when looking at our OptaAI NBA Player Prop projections. Subscribers have access to hundreds of others on a daily basis!
Jimmy Butler Over 4.5 Assists (-142) vs. Magic
Warriors at Magic – 7:00 pm ET
OptaAI has Butler finishing with 5.28 assists tonight, so the Over on 4.5 could be worth a look. Butler just had 10 assists in a win over the Pelicans, and he has now had at least seven in three of the last five games. Tonight, he might handle the ball a little more to take some pressure off Steph Curry against a physical defense.
Jalen Duren Over 19.5 Points (-118) vs. Hawks
Pistons at Hawks – 7:30 pm ET
Our OptaAI player prop projections have Duren going for 24.03 in tonight’s meeting with the Hawks. Duren just went for 31 points and shot 12 for 13 from the floor against the Pacers. He has now scored at least 21 points in six of the last eight games. He’s really coming into his own, emerging as one of the best centers in the league. Will he keep it up tonight?
Devin Booker Over 1.5 Made 3s (-170) vs. Trail Blazers
Suns at Blazers – 11:00 pm ET
Booker’s projected to go for 2.11 triples tonight. That’s a nice edge to his Over at 2.5, which is pretty heavily juiced. However, you can get him to make at least three 3s at +182. Maybe that’s the way to go. Jrue Holiday likely won’t be out there to hound him, plus Grayson Allen and Jalen Green are out for Phoenix.
Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.
Jordan Walsh Over 12.5 Points + Rebounds (+105) vs. Nets
Celtics at Nets – 7:30 pm ET
Walsh has had at least 13 points and rebounds in five of the last seven games. His rebounding is the main catalyst for that. Walsh has had at least six boards in six consecutive contests. That might make you think the Over on 5.5 rebounds is a better play in tonight’s meeting with the Nets, but I do think this is a game in which Walsh could flirt with double-digit points. Walsh is a good transition player, plus a good finisher. Well, Brooklyn is 30th when it comes to transition defense this year. The team is also 29th defending around the basket. That said, I like Walsh to pick up some gritty buckets in an ugly game, then he’ll add even more with his ability to hit the glass. Let’s just hope he doesn’t get into foul trouble.
De’Aaron Fox Over 7.5 Assists (-125) vs. Grizzlies
Grizzlies at Spurs – 8:00 pm ET
Fox has been doing a great job of setting guys up lately. Over the last two games, the talented southpaw is averaging 10.5 assists per game. He’s also averaging 14.0 potential assists and 15.0 adjusted assists per game in that short stretch. Those ones suggest he’s doing an even better job than you might think, but his teammates aren’t hitting very makable shots. Well, as long as Fox keeps making good reads, the Over on his assist totals should go pretty well for prop bettors.
Fox will also have a bigger on-ball role with Stephon Castle out tonight. Of course, no Victor Wembanyama means less players out there to score for him, but I still think Fox flirts with 10 dimes. He flashed some good chemistry with Luke Kornet in pick-and-roll plays last game, and I can see that duo doing good work against a Grizzlies team that has been lousy in PnR defense — and lousy defensively in general.
Ace Bailey Over 11.5 Points (-105 – 1.5 units) & Alt Points 15+ (+200 – 0.5 units) vs. Lakers
Jazz at Lakers – 10:30 pm ET
This play went really poorly for me the last time I took it, as Bailey fouled out in only 10 total minutes of action in a win over the Bulls. That was a game in which 297 total points were scored, so it should have been a good opportunity for the big wing to contribute. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be. Well, hopefully Bailey can avoid foul trouble tonight, as I like him to score at least 12 again.
Bailey had scored at least 12 points in three of his previous four games before the dud against Chicago. He had also scored at least 20 points in back-to-back games prior to that one. I just think Bailey is getting a better feel for how to score at this level, and I think his teammates have a better understanding of when to get him the rock.
