Wednesday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Wednesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.
Jayson Tatum Over 22.5 Points (-112) vs. Heat
Celtics at Heat -7:30 pm ET
Tatum’s point total is up at 23.5 and 24.5 in some places, so jumping on 22.5 feels like a sharp move. Of course, Jaylen Brown will be in the lineup for Boston tonight, which isn’t great for Tatum’s usage rate. That number is at 36.8% without Brown, but it’s down at 28.3% with him. Still, Tatum is averaging 29.0 points per game over the last two contests, with the absence of Brown helping him establish a rhythm. Now, even in a reduced role, I like his chances of having at least 23 against the Heat. This Miami team is just 26th in the NBA defending pull-up jumpers, which make up 51% of Tatum’s scoring profile. The Heat are also 25th in the NBA guarding in transition, plus they’re in the bottom half of the league guarding pick-and-roll ball handlers and defending in transition. When you combine all of that with Miami playing at the league’s fastest pace, this suddenly becomes an appealing matchup for Tatum.
Matas Buzelis Over 20.5 Points (+144) vs. Pacers
Pacers at Bulls – 8:00 pm ET
You can get a pretty awesome price on Buzelis to score at least 21 points if you look at some of the prediction markets tonight, so I figured I’d post this for those of you that are active on those. This Over is juiced pretty much everywhere else, so getting the equivalent of +144 is great value. Buzelis has scored at least 22 points in each of his last three meetings with bottom-10 defenses, and this Pacers team is 27th in the NBA in adjusted defensive rating (118.1). Also, looking at some of the specifics shows that this is a good matchup for Buzelis. This Indiana team is 29th in the NBA defending inside 10 feet, where Buzelis scores 49% of his points. He should also thrive when getting to run PnR actions, and there’s a chance he gets himself to the free throw line quite a bit.
Additional Picks
I won’t be doing my traditional sides/totals column for today, so I’ll post my only non-prop here: I parlayed 76ers, Knicks, Raptors, Rockets, Nuggets, and Spurs at -149.
Also, I added Deni Avdija To Win MIP (20-1), risking 0.25u to win 5u. This is something I talked about on the 4/1/26 Hardwood Handicappers.
