I have a bunch of plays for the loaded NBA slate on Tuesday, March 10. So, while I normally break things down with two separate articles, I’m bringing everything under one roof instead of splitting up sides/totals and player props — a streamlined look at my favorite bets for the day’s slate. Keep reading for my NBA picks and predictions for Tuesday.

Suns ML (-115) vs. Bucks
Suns at Bucks – 8:00 pm ET
It looks like there’s sharp money on the Bucks in this game, but it’s hard to lay off the Suns as such a short favorite here. Phoenix is 10-1 straight-up and 9-1-1 against the spread as a road favorite under Jordan Ott, so this is a team that tends to take care of weaker opponents — even when playing in tough road environments. The Suns could also get Jordan Goodwin back tonight. That would soften the blow of being without Dillon Brooks, as Goodwin brings some intensity and high-level defense on the perimeter.
The Bucks also happen to be playing without Kevin Porter Jr., which is brutal for this team’s offense. There’s a little too much falling on the shoulders of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who doesn’t look close to 100% health after having returned from a calf injury.
Phoenix also happens to have some intriguing defensive pieces for Antetokounmpo, as Oso Ighodaro, Ryan Dunn, and Rasheer Fleming can take turns covering him. That’s an interesting blend of size, athleticism, and length.
This could also be a game in which the Suns go nuclear offensively. Phoenix has been an up-and-down offensive team all year, but Milwaukee is lacking plus-level defenders throughout the rotation. The Suns, with Devin Booker spearheading everything, should be able to take advantage of that.
I’ll also add that Phoenix is facing a Milwaukee team that is playing a third game in four nights, so rest favors the road team here.
Timberwolves ML (-120 – 1.5 units) vs. Lakers
Timberwolves at Lakers – 11:00 pm ET
It somehow feels like Minnesota loses every single game, but the reality is that the Timberwolves just turn in duds more than any other good team in the league. And those duds make it feel like Minnesota is losing far more often than the team actually is. In fact, the Timberwolves are 8-2 in their last 10 games, and they currently sit in third place in the Western Conference standings. Things are going just fine for Minnesota, and this is a team that has proven it can play well in big games. Well, facing the Lakers in Los Angeles — on national television — is a big game, and I expect the Timberwolves to win this one.
Minnesota absolutely destroyed Los Angeles in last year’s playoffs. In what ended up being a quick five-game series, the Timberwolves defense smothered the Lakers offense, while a shaky Minnesota offense looked borderline unstoppable. Of course, these teams have changed a bit since then, but the big picture has largely remained unchanged. The Timberwolves are an elite defensive team with a potent scoring combo in Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle. Meanwhile, the Lakers are a good offensive team, but they’re miserable defensively. Los Angeles also remains soft inside.
I just think the Timberwolves are going to go out there and bully the Lakers, and the fact that this is a game in which Minnesota is coming off two full days of rest — and looking to bounce back from an embarrassing loss to Orlando — only makes me feel better about everything.

Julian Champagnie Over 9.5 Points (-123) vs. Celtics
Celtics at Spurs – 8:00 pm ET
Harrison Barnes is out for the Spurs again tonight. In the games Champagnie has played without Barnes, he’s averaging 14.3 points per game in 27.8 minutes per game. This is also a good matchup for Champagnie. While that might sound crazy to say about a Celtics team that has been excellent defensively, the Celtics are 29th in the NBA defending above-the-break 3s and 23rd defending catch-and-shoot jumpers. Well, Champagnie scores 49% of his points on above-the-break 3s when looking at shot location, and he scores 70% of his points on catch-and-shoot jumpers when looking at shot type. He should be able to knock down some triples and put a big dent in the point total this evening, then he’ll likely add a transition bucket or a couple of finishes on cuts. He’s a smart mover off the ball.
