NBA Best Bets Today – March 13th
Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls – 8:00 pm ET
A lot of people have been clamoring for Chicago to tank, but the Bulls just aren’t capable of doing it. As long as Billy Donovan has some competent players on the floor, he’s capable of leading his team to some wins. But Donovan won’t really have that many reliable options tonight. Josh Giddey and Lonzo Ball are both doubtful, and Ayo Dosunmu is already out after having undergone shoulder surgery. Giddey had been absolutely balling out lately, so that loss hurts. And the Bulls are now left with a miserable guard rotation against a feisty Nets team. That said, I’m not overthinking this one at all. This will be the rare occasion in which Brooklyn will be more talented than its opponent, and Jordi Fernandez is actually better than Donovan when it comes to X’s and O’s and player motivation.
Look for Brooklyn’s defense, which is top-15 in the league in defensive rating over the last 15 games, to give an undermanned Chicago team a lot of trouble. Then, on the other end of the floor, D’Angelo Russell, Cam Thomas and Cam Johnson have enough firepower to take advantage of a Bulls team that is just 25th in the NBA in adjusted defensive efficiency this year.
Bet: Nets ML (+115 – 2 units)
NBA Player Props Today – March 13th
Los Angeles Lakers at Milwaukee Bucks – 7:30 pm ET
Our NBA Prop Bet Analyzer — which is free to use until March 16th and is a tremendous betting tool — reveals that Taurean Prince has gone Over his combined points, rebounds and assists total in nine of the last 12 games he has started. Well, Prince should be starting tonight, especially after going for 18 points, six rebounds and three assists in a close loss to the Pacers the other night. The 6-foot-6 wing also happens to have a decent matchup this evening. I know the Lakers have been an elite defense since acquiring Luka Doncic, but Jaxson Hayes and LeBron James are out for tonight. The same goes for Rui Hachimura, and even Doncic is questionable. That said, Los Angeles is missing its best rim protector in Hayes, plus some good size on the wing. So, don’t be surprised if Milwaukee consistently generates good looks in this one, which should benefit a good catch-and-shoot option like Prince. The 30-year-old should also be able to do some damage on the glass, and whatever he chips in as a passer is just gravy.
Bet: Prince Over 14.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
