NBA Best Bets Today – March 26th
Los Angeles Lakers at Indiana Pacers – 7:30 pm ET
Boston Celtics at Phoenix Suns – 10:00 pm ET
This is another evening in which I couldn’t find much that I absolutely love, but luckily I have been able to find some great prices on alternate parlays — mostly at BetMGM. Tonight, I’m playing the Pacers to cover an alternate spread of +7.5, and I’m pairing that with the Suns +10.5 against a Jayson Tatum-less Celtics team.
With the Pacers, it just feels a little odd to me that they’re not favored at home. I understand Los Angeles is rolling right now, and JJ Redick has done a spectacular job piecing together a serviceable defense since the Luka Doncic deal. However, Indiana has a slight edge in adjusted net rating (1.0 vs. 0.5) and is playing at home. So, this is a game they really should figure out how to win, but I respect the fact that Doncic and LeBron James have the ability to steal this one late. That’s why I’m taking a few extra points.
As for the Suns, it’s just hard not to like the fact that Phoenix is 5-1 with the league’s fourth-best net rating (10.8) over the last six games. With Ryan Dunn and Oso Ighodaro back in the rotation, the Suns are playing like a top-10 defensive team. That’s also helping them play some good offense, as they’re able to get a little more before the defense is set. Also, just putting a bunch of low-usage, scrappy and athletic role players around Devin Booker and Kevin Durant has worked wonderfully. So, while this is an unbelievable opponent, I think the Suns will keep things close. It doesn’t hurt that Boston is playing its third game in four nights — and all of the games have come on the road. It also helps that Tatum is doubtful.
PARLAY: Pacers Alt +7.5 & Suns Alt +10.5 (-114 – 1.5 units)
NBA Player Props Today – March 26th
Washinton Wizards at Philadelphia 76ers – 7:00 pm ET
I wanted to play Quentin Grimes to go Over his PRA total the other night, as our VSiN NBA Prop Bet Analyzer shows that he has gone Over the mark in 11 of his last 14 starts. Unfortunately, Philadelphia ended up resting him. Well, I’m going back to it tonight. The Sixers are playing a Wizards team that is 28th in the NBA in adjusted defensive rating (117.3) and fourth in pace of play (102.2). So, this is as good of a matchup as you can ask for. Grimes is averaging 28.0 points, 5.2 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game since the start of March. He is absolutely lighting things up for Philadelphia, taking advantage of the league’s fourth-highest usage rate over the last 10 games. I don’t see him slowing down tonight. We’re also at the point where Grimes can have a poor shooting game and still fly Over these numbers, as he is just such a big part of the team’s offense game plan.
Bet: Grimes Over 35.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)
Additional Plays
This is where I’ll include any late added plays, teasers/parlays or in-season futures. Come back before tip if you don’t want to miss anything. It’s always possible I’ll add something to my card.
