NBA 2K26 Summer League Predictions for Monday, July 14th

The NBA 2K26 Summer League, which takes place in VSiN’s backyard of Las Vegas, Nevada, is here. This event is like the NBA’s version of Comic-Con, as all of the stars, coaches, front office executives and media personalities tend to show up in Sin City. However, the main attraction is the actual basketball itself, which generally features some of the top prospects from the NBA Draft hooping in their new colors for the first time.

For the format of the 2025 Vegas Summer League, check out Jonathan Von Tobel’s in-depth look at the action. However, for some daily best bets, I’ll continue to keep you covered. That said, keep reading for my plays for Monday, July 14th.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Dallas Mavericks – 6:30 pm ET
Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat – 8:00 pm ET

Kon Knueppel is questionable for tonight’s meeting with the Mavericks, but the Hornets have a stacked Summer League roster. That’s why they’re already 2-0 in this event, but they can use a big win tonight with their point differential sitting at only +4.0. Well, Charlotte is getting a Dallas team that is shutting down Cooper Flagg for the rest of the Vegas Summer League. Flagg is coming off a performance in which he scored 31 points and looked like the best player in Vegas, by far. Without him, the Mavericks likely don’t have the firepower needed to compete with the Hornets.

Instead of taking Charlotte to cover, I’m pairing the moneyline with Boston moneyline. The Celtics are 2-0 with a +13.5 point differential, and they have a golden opportunity to move to 3-0 against a Heat team that is 0-2 with a -13.5 point differential. Boston has been one of the more surprising teams in Vegas so far. Hugo Gonzalez is a player I’m very high on, but he was only the 28th pick in the first round. And it’s not like the Celtics have a roster filled with other lottery players. But they’re big, feisty and have guys that can knock down shots. They should be a bit overwhelming tonight.

PARLAY: Hornets ML & Celtics ML (-115)

Utah Jazz vs. San Antonio Spurs – 8:30 pm ET

Walter Clayton Jr., Ace Bailey and John Tonje were all out for Utah on Sunday. That puts the status of all of them in jeopardy on Monday, meaning the Vegas version of the Jazz really isn’t all that different than last year’s tanking team. However, even with some absences, I’d be surprised if Utah can’t cover 5.5 against San Antonio. This is a talented Spurs group, so it won’t be easy. But this is the type of popcorn Summer League game that should have the fans buzzing, and I’d be surprised if it doesn’t go down to the wire. And ultimately, I like that some of the Jazz’s best players are second-year guys. That extra experience should serve Utah rather well here.

Bet: Jazz +5.5 (-135)
