New England Patriots at Cincinnati Bengals – 1:00 pm ET

The Bengals are last in the NFL in EPA per play allowed (0.205) this season. That said, I went into this week wanting to back somebody on the Patriots on the player props market. Well, our VSiN Pro tools pointed me in the direction of Stefon Diggs. I have been loving the WR-CB Matchup Tool this season, as it gives me a good understanding of who certain receivers will be working against. Well, that tool is high on Diggs’ matchup with Bengals corner Dax Hill, who has a Pro Football Focus coverage grade of only 59.6 this season. The OptaAI player prop projections also happen to have Diggs to finish with 6.13 catches in this one. That’s a nice edge to the Over on his total of 4.5 receptions.

Diggs also comes into this game after having had nine catches for 105 yards against the Jets. That was the second game in a row in which the 31-year-old had at least five receptions. I know Drake Maye likes to go to his tight ends, and the second-year quarterback is generally good about spreading the wealth. However, Diggs is the best wide receiver on this team, and this is a game that should be high in scoring — especially if Joe Burrow plays. That said, I love Diggs to finish with five receptions. I also like his chances of finding the end zone. He had scored in three straight games before failing to score against New York.

Bet: Diggs Over 4.5 Receptions (-120 – 1.5 units) & Diggs Anytime TD (+135 – 0.5 units)

New York Jets at Baltimore Ravens – 1:00 pm ET

We have seen some better performances from the Ravens defense over the last month or so, but this team is still 18th in the NFL in Dropback EPA per play allowed (0.080). So, this is a pretty good matchup for Tyrod Taylor, who is taking over for Justin Fields as the Jets starting quarterback.

Taylor isn’t the greatest passer in the world, but he did throw for 197 yards in a close loss to the Buccaneers back on September 21. New York offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand is going to feel better about opening up the playbook in this one. That could amount to a decent performance from Taylor in the box score. After all, OptaAI has Taylor throwing for 226.82 yards in this game, which is a crazy edge to the Over.

Don’t sleep on the possibility of Baltimore opening up a big lead either. The Ravens are big favorites, which could mean good things for this pick. If New York is down in the second half, Taylor will be regularly asked to throw.

I also think it’s worth sprinkling Taylor to throw for two scores here. At +315 odds, how can you not? Taylor can do that even in a lopsided loss, so it’s not like two passing touchdowns means New York has to be competitive.

Bet: Taylor Over 186.5 Passing Yards (-112) & Taylor Alt Passing TDs 2+ (+315 – 0.5 units)
