Here are some early lines to consider:
Los Angeles Chargers (-3) vs. Las Vegas Raiders: The Raiders will go into Week 1 with either Aidan O’Connell or Gardner Minshew at QB, while Jim Harbaugh’s first game will feature Justin Herbert. While it is something of an unknown how the Chargers will do as the season goes along, it seems likely that this line will be bigger by the time the second week of September rolls around between the LA hype train and the relative lack of excitement for Las Vegas.
Arizona Cardinals (+7) at Buffalo Bills: A hefty number of points with a sharp defensive mind like Jonathan Gannon seems generous here against the Bills, who have major question marks at WR and endured a ton of defensive injuries last season. The weather won’t be an issue on September 9 for the desert dwellers, so Arizona seems not only like a good underdog bet, but maybe even live for the upset in Marvin Harrison Jr.’s debut.
