NFL Conference Championship Picks from Mike Somich:
This weekend, 1st Bet hosts Pegasus World Cup weekend at Gulfstream Park, featuring seven graded stakes culminating in the back-to-back Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Turf and Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup. In honor of the weekend, they are hosting a contest that is free to play with a $1,000 prize pool. Simple pick one horse in the final six races on Saturday and a side and total from the NFL Conference Championship games on Sunday. The more you are right, the more points you rack up.
When entering a contest, always know the rules. In this case, you get three points for every winning horse you select, regardless of the price. Additionally, you get two points if your horse places and one point if they show. That means that while picking longer prices can help separate you, there are no additional points available. Each correct NFL pick is worth five points.

Here’s who I selected for the contest:
Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles (-6; 47.5)
Side – I played the Eagles -4.5 on Sunday, and that’s the side I would still play at the current number. This is going to be a tall task for a Commanders team that will be playing their fourth consecutive game on the road.
Total – Let’s go with the Over here. In both previous matchups, Washington was able to move the football. If that’s the case, Philadelphia should be able to score in kind and push this total over.
Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs (-2; 47.5)
Side – Let’s side with the home team in both games. While this Chiefs team has not lived up to expectations on the offensive side of the ball all season, they have been good between the twenties. If they are effective in the red zone, they will be tough here.
Total – While I do think both teams could have success moving the football, I expect that it will be longer drives that put points on the board. If one or two of those drives end in field goals, then this one stays Under.
