Bengals favored over Chiefs
Much has been made this week of the line flip in the AFC Championship Game with Cincinnati now a road favorite at Arrowhead Stadium. Patrick Mahomes is clearly hobbled with the high ankle sprain and there is speculation across the market as to whether or not the line move is based on some concerning reports from the Chiefs or if it is just a byproduct of the assumption that he’s going to have a hard time moving around.
We’ve got a Bengals vs. 49ers matchup preview for you and we’ll have more as the week goes along.
Eagles holding at -2.5 vs. 49ers
The early money that hit Philadelphia on Sunday night and Monday morning to push the line out from -1.5 to -2.5 has stopped. As Adam Burke wrote about on Monday, we’re looking at the first time since 1997 that both conference championship lines have been less than a field goal. Most sportsbooks are -2.5 with -115 vig on the Eagles, indicating that they are doing whatever they can to keep from having to go to -3.
As the week goes along, some sportsbooks may decide to go to -3 to see if they do get hit with San Francisco money, but none of them have reached that point yet, as most of the 49ers money is likely on the moneyline and not the spread.
We’ve got a 49ers vs. Eagles matchup preview for you and we’ll have more on this game as the week goes along as well.
