Super Bowl LXI
The best team doesn’t always win the championship, but it sure seems like the best team in the NFL prevailed in Super Bowl LX, as the Seahawks beat the Patriots 29-13 and gave us our first running back Super Bowl MVP since 1998 when Terrell Davis did it for the Broncos. While the Seahawks are celebrating and planning a parade, the Patriots are trying to figure out how to be the ones showered in confetti next season.
The other 30 NFL teams have already been doing that for a while, as we look ahead to Super Bowl LXI odds for the big game on Sunday, February 14. Yes, that’s not a typo for all of you with significant others out there. The Super Bowl is on Valentine’s Day, so you might want to start planning accordingly well in advance.
We won’t see the NFL schedule until May and there will be a lot of transactions over the spring and summer, but here’s a look at what we have to work with now, more than a year in advance of Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.

As is often the case, the champs are the favorite or lined among the favorites to run it back, but Seattle’s going to have some coaching turnover to be sure. The Rams return reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford and have the chance to win the Super Bowl on their home field. The Bills couldn’t make it through the AFC side of things even without Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, but they’re still getting plenty of love and more than the Patriots, who won the AFC East.
Are there any good value bets out there right now for Super Bowl LXI?
Well, the first thing you need to ask yourself is if you are okay with tying your money up for more than a year betting into this futures market now. The second is whether or not now is the best time to get a bet in or if a team’s odds might get better based on the schedule release or the transactions that they complete over the course of the offseason.
I think there are a couple of teams worthy of consideration, though maybe not a bet. That is up to you, your bankroll management, and your risk tolerance, but I do have some food for thought.
Washington Commanders +6000
Remember, we’re one postseason removed from Washington making it to the NFC Championship Game. This past season was a wasted one with the ongoing injury issues for Jayden Daniels. There are some silver linings to being bad and one is that Washington holds the No. 7 pick in this year’s draft. Washington also has a good amount of cap space to utilize because they’ve got a QB on a rookie deal.
I still believe that the Giants have a long way to go, the Cowboys have a myriad of problems of their own, and the Eagles will still be good and are among the short shots, but Washington has enough core pieces to have the building blocks of making another run in 2026.
New Orleans Saints +10000
We just saw what smart, young coaches can do with how the Seahawks triumphed in Super Bowl LX. Kellen Moore got a lot out of a pretty poor New Orleans team and it’s fair to wonder what their record would have been had they gone to Tyler Shough earlier on. The defense was very strong in a lot of key areas and could very well be again. The downside for the Saints is that they have a lot of dead cap and it’s going to be tricky to make some moves.
The upside is that the NFC South stinks and it’s entirely possible that a 100/1 shot gets a home game in the playoffs. At least at that point, there’s something that you can do to monetize that ticket and get a decent hold on your year-long investment.
We’ll be keeping tabs on all the NFL happenings this spring and summer, so keep it locked in right here at VSiN!
