Week 10 NFL Odds

The NFL regular season is into double digits, which means that the campaign is more than halfway over. Well, not yet for the Cardinals and Cowboys, who play on Monday Night Football and Zachary Cohen has the details on that matchup. The rest of the league has moved to the NFL Week 10 games and we have a division rivalry on Thursday and another international game among this week’s schedule notes.

Let’s look at the early Week 10 NFL odds, as four teams – Bengals, Cowboys, Chiefs, and Titans – are on byes.

Here is the Week 10 NFL Odds Report:

Odds as of Sunday, November 2 at 8:00 p.m. PT

Raiders at Broncos (-9.5, 42)

Thursday. 8:15 p.m. ET

The season can’t end soon enough for the Raiders. They fell to 2-6 with Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars, as Geno Smith’s two-point attempt failed in overtime. It was a boring 9-6 game through three quarters, but a 31-point explosion in the fourth quarter, including a 48-yard game-tying field goal from Cam Little. Now the Raiders have to go to Denver on a short week and take on a surging Broncos bunch that has reeled off six wins in a row. DraftKings had already gone to 10 on this one as of Sunday night, while everybody else sat 9.5.

Raiders-Broncos Matchup

Falcons vs. Colts (-6.5, 48.5) (Berlin)

Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ET

The Colts now have two 27-20 road losses on their resume as they play the league’s fifth game in Germany, but the first in Berlin. Munich and Frankfurt have hosted two games each, but Olympiastadion in Berlin will host this one. The lookahead line last week was Colts -7, so they’ve dipped below the key number with that loss to the Steelers. Atlanta lost, but played well enough to cover against the Patriots with Michael Penix back. A cover one way, a loss the other way, and you typically get a small adjustment as a result.

Falcons-Colts Matchup

Browns at Jets (-2, 37)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

How bad are the Browns? Well, they’re an underdog to the Jets. Neither team played last week, so there haven’t been any adjustments at all to this line.

Browns-Jets Matchup

Saints at Panthers (-5.5, 40.5)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

The Saints were a little bit better with Tyler Shough than they had been with Spencer Rattler, but were still no match for the Rams in Week 10. The Panthers pulled off a big upset of the Packers, so obviously this line was adjusted in light of that performance. Carolina went from primarily -3.5 to as high as -5.5, with the market spread across 4.5, 5, and 5.5 as of Sunday night. All of the sudden, Carolina is over .500 and the NFC South could be up for grabs if Tampa Bay continues to have issues staying healthy.

Saints-Panthers Matchup

Bills (-9.5, 49.5) at Dolphins

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

Miami got pummeled on Thursday Night Football and the Bills beat the Chiefs, so we saw a mild adjustment here. Buffalo was already a big favorite of more than a touchdown heading to Florida, but went from -8.5 to -9.5 based on the lookahead market from last week. Really not much to add beyond that, other than the vote of confidence Mike McDaniel got that he won’t be fired during the season.

Bills-Dolphins Matchup

Jaguars at Texans (-1, 39.5)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

Not much to say here, as we’re all wondering what the status of CJ Stroud will be. It looked like a pretty brutal hit and I would be surprised if he’s out there. This line is kind of in-between, in that the lookahead line was -3, so the sportsbooks are erring on the side of caution that Stroud could play. If he doesn’t, Jacksonville should be a road favorite.

Jaguars-Texans Matchup

Ravens (-3.5, 47) at Vikings

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

This is a pretty sneaky line in my opinion. The Ravens have the look and feel of “being back” with Lamar Jackson in the mix. Minnesota actually picked up a win as a big underdog over the Lions in JJ McCarthy’s first game back. If we take that Lions line and use it as a frame of reference here, along with flipping home field, the Ravens are power-rated similarly to the Lions. Is that fair? Too much? Not enough? I guess we’ll find out with the head-to-head matchup.

Ravens-Vikings Matchup

Patriots at Buccaneers (-2.5, 48.5)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

No movement here, as the Patriots did what they were supposed to do in that they beat the Falcons, but it wasn’t the most impressive performance that they’ve had this season. Tampa Bay was on a bye, with the expectation that maybe they’ll be a tad healthier coming back to work from a few days off. I’ll be interested to see if this line goes to 3 or not. New England has been a pretty popular team in the betting world.

Patriots-Buccaneers Matchup

Giants at Bears (-3.5, 48.5)

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

The shorthanded Giants had a pretty admirable effort against the 49ers. They were never close to winning the game, but without Cam Skattebo and Malik Nabers, they are just not working with enough strong skill-position players. The 49ers are really playing well in spite of all their injuries. The Bears won a wild one 47-42 over the Bengals and got very lucky at the final horn to come away with the win. This line was mostly -3 and is now -3.5.

Giants-Bears Matchup

Rams (-3.5, 50) at 49ers

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET

Speaking of the 49ers, they’re a home pup to the Rams in this one. I really think that the Rams are being priced at the top of the market these days. I do think that they are a very good team, but to be laying this number on the road against a San Francisco squad that has continued to overcome key absences seems a little bit steep. This one was -3 heading into the weekend and is -3.5 now, so not a huge adjustment, but a notable one, especially given the sharper books that are at 3.5.

Rams-49ers Matchup

Steelers at Chargers (-3, 45.5)

Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET

Sunday Night Football here and we’ve seen a bit of an adjustment to this game. It was primarily 3.5 going into the weekend, but Pittsburgh got a strong, signature win over the Colts and the Chargers had some difficulties with the lowly Titans. It is a long trip for Pittsburgh and a primetime game, but it’s clear that the betting markets have been viewing Mike Tomlin’s team in a positive light, as he continues to just win football games. I think there are some skeptics out there about the Chargers, too.

Steelers-Chargers Matchup

Eagles at Packers (-2.5, 44.5)

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET

We haven’t had the best set of Monday Night Football games this season, but we’ve got a dandy here. The Packers absolutely required an adjustment after losing to the Panthers, so this line dropped off the key number of 3 down to 2.5. We didn’t see the Eagles this past week, as they were on the bye. But, Green Bay’s result definitely led sportsbooks to tip their hands a little  bit with a game that is going to draw an immense amount of volume.
