Here are tonight’s NHL predictions and best bets:
Calgary Flames (24-28-6) at Anaheim Ducks (32-23-3)
Flames (+145) at Ducks (-175) – Total 6 (Over, -118)

The Flames are in a back-to-back, three games in four days, and coming off a 2-0 loss to the LA Kings on Saturday. Anaheim has won four straight overall and seven straight games at home. The Ducks are 25-11 going Over the total on one day’s rest (stat courtesy of Steve Makinen). I am not interested in laying the juice with the Ducks to win the game outright, but I will parlay Anaheim to win and an alternate total (5.5).
On to the player props. Anaheim defenseman Jackson LaCombe has an assist in five consecutive home games and 14 of 17. Beckett Sennecke has a point in seven of nine home games. Anaheim’s Ryan Poehling centers the Ducks’ third line but has worked his way to center the top power play unit. I will sprinkle some pizza money on Poehling for a goal tonight. Once I get goalie confirmations, I may add some additional props.
