NHL Predictions and Best Bets:

Here are today’s NHL predictions and best bets.

Montreal Canadiens (26-14-7) at Buffalo Sabres (25-16-4)

Canadiens (-125) at Sabres (+105) – Total 6.5 (Under, -120)

7 p.m. ET

The Buffalo Sabres are one of the hottest teams in the NHL, winning 14 of their last 16 games, most recently a 5-2 home win last night over the Philadelphia Flyers. Montreal is coming off a 3-2 overtime loss on Tuesday at Washington, squandering a 2-0 lead to the Capitals.

We have seen a “10-cent” line move to Montreal from last night. With Buffalo playing last night, Montreal rested, and the Habs having won five straight over Buffalo, I am not surprised. I did grab Montreal last night (-115) and would still support Montreal at this price.

Montreal has won seven straight off a loss, scored four goals or more in six of the seven wins. They have scored four or more goals in their last five meetings with Buffalo and six of the last eight. Montreal has also scored four goals or more in five straight games overall and ten of their last eleven.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Montreal Canadiens Money Line (-125) – 1 unit
Montreal Canadiens Team Total Over 3 (-145) – .75
Montreal Canadiens Team Total Over 3.5 (+120) – .25
Juraj Slafkovsky/Ivan Demidov point parlay (+142) – .25

Seattle Kraken (21-15-9) at Boston Bruins (26-19-2)

Kraken (+150) at Bruins (-185) – Total 6 (-110)

8 p.m. ET

A later start than normal for a Bruins game, but that is because the organization is retiring the jersey of former Boston defenseman Zdeno Chara. The Bruins are on a roll, winners of four straight outscoring the opposition 18-3, including back-to-back shutouts over Detroit and Pittsburgh. These two teams met nine days ago in Seattle with the Kraken coming out on top with a 7-4 victory.

I am going to pass on wagering on either team or the total but will focus on player props. Seattle’s Jordan Eberle has points in three straight, six of eight, and in four of five games against the Bruins. Matty Beniers has eight points in seven career games versus the B’s.

Boston’s Viktor Arvidsson has 11 points in 13 games against Seattle, and his linemate Pavel Zacha has points in four of his last five games. Defenseman Charlie McAvoy has eight assists in nine career games versus the Kraken. David Pastrnak has lit up Seattle goalies with nine goals in nine games. He scored twice in the last meeting and scored three goals in three games against Seattle goalie Joey Daccord. I will also be on Daccord’s save prop to go Over (25.5).

NHL Prediction and Best Bets:
Matty Beniers/Jordan Eberle point parlay (+179) – .25
Arvidsson pt/Zacha pt/McAvoy assist (+485) – .20
Charlie McAvoy Over ½ assist (+115) – .25
Joey Daccord Over 25.5 saves (-105) – .25
David Pastrnak anytime goal (+140) – .25

Winnipeg Jets (18-22-5) at Minnesota Wild (26-12-9)

Jets (+120) at Wild (-145) – Total 5.5 (Over, -120)

8 p.m. ET

These two teams have been playing to the Over, and I can’t pass up the 5.5 full game total. Jets games have combined for six goals or more in seven consecutive games. The Wild have gone Over the total in eight of their past nine games.

There are also some very appealing player props in this contest. Minnesota defensemen Brock Faber and Quinn Hughes have feasted on the Jets. Faber is on a five-game points streak (two goals, five assists) and a five-game assist streak. Faber has also cashed his shots on goal prop (Over 1.5) in three straight and five of his last six games.

Hughes has points in four of his last six games as well as points in back-to-back and five of his last seven games against the Jets, with four of those games being multi-point games. Hughes has also cashed his shots on goal prop (Over 2.5) in four straight and five of seven.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Over 5.5 (-120) – 2 units
Quinn Hughes Over 2.5 shots on goal (-125) – .25
Quinn Hughes Over 1.5 points (+200) – .15
Brock Faber Over ½ assist (+172) – .25
Brock Faber Over 1.5 shots on goal (-145) – .25

Dallas Stars (27-11-9) at Utah Mammoth (23-20-4)

Stars (-110) at Mammoth (-110) – Total 6 (Under, -115)

9 p.m. ET

Going to keep this short and simple. Mikhail Sergachev Over 1.5 shots on goal. The Utah blueliner has cashed this prop in 18 of his last 19 home games and in each of the last two meetings against Dallas (both at Dallas), including the lone meeting this season.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Mikhail Sergachev Over 1.5 shots on goal (-135) – 3 units

Toronto Maple Leafs (23-16-7) at Vegas Golden Knights (22-11-12)

Maple Leafs (+116) at Golden Knights (-140) – Total 6.5 (-128)

9:30 p.m. ET

It’s going to be an emotional night at “The Fortress” with Mitch Marner and Nic Roy each facing their former teams. Vegas is coming off a 3-2 overtime win last night in Los Angeles, and the Maple Leafs will be fresh after having yesterday off after playing back-to-back in Colorado and Utah.

I am going to stay away from sides and totals in this game and will instead focus on player props. Marner is the focus in this game, and I will get back to him in a moment. Let’s start on the Toronto side and former Golden Knight, Nic Roy to score a goal (+850). Auston Matthews has 10 goals in 12 games versus the Golden Knights, and John Tavares and Max Domi have been point producers versus Vegas.

I am going to hold enough for now, but may pull the trigger later for Marner to record Over 1.5 points, but for now will go with Marner Over 2.5 shots on goal. He has cashed this in eight of his last 13 games. Shea Theodore has 12 assists in 13 games versus Toronto, Jack Eichel has 16 goals in 21 games against the Leafs, and though Mark Stone doesn’t have great numbers against Toronto, he does have eight goals in his last nine games overall.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Mark Stone anytime goal (+150) – .10
Shea Theodore Over ½ assist (+130) – .10
Jack Eichel anytime goal (+155) – .10
Mitch Marner Over 2.5 shots on goal (+150) – .10
Auston Matthews anytime goal (+130) – .20
Max Domi/John Tavares point parlay (+245) – .10
