NHL Predictions and Best Bets:

Here are tonight’s NHL predictions and best bets.

Utah Mammoth at Toronto Maple Leafs

Utah (-135) at Toronto (+110) – Total 6.5 (Over, -135)

7 p.m. ET

The Mammoth are coming off one of their worst games of the season, a 6-3 loss at Philadelphia on Sunday. Utah has traded wins and losses in their last eight games and has yet to lose two in a row this season. The Mammoth have scored four or more goals in all nine of their wins. Five of the last six Toronto games have flown over the total, and the opposition has scored at least four goals in six of the last eight games that tonight’s starting goalie, Sergei Bobrovsky, has been between the pipes.

Lots of player props are worth looking at in this game. Utah’s Dylan Guenther has five goals in eight games versus Toronto and Logan Cooley has goals in three straight (5) and four of the last five (7).

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Utah Mammoth Team Total Over 3.5 (-112) – ¾ units
Utah Mammoth/Toronto Maple Leafs Over 6 (-135) – ¾ units
Dylan Guenther anytime goal (+160) – ¼ unit
Logan Cooley anytime goal (+120) – ¼ unit
Auston Matthew anytime goal (+120) – ¼ unit

Minnesota Wild at Philadelphia Flyers

Minnesota (-165) at Philadelphia (+140) – Total 5.5 (Over, -132)

7 p.m. ET

The Wild are coming off an impressive 5-1 win over the Washington Capitals on Sunday and have won four of their last five games. They get a Flyers team that should be feeling good after doubling up Utah 6-3 on Sunday and has won six of the last seven meetings with Minnesota. The last two matchups and five of the last eight have gone past regulation. Matvei Michkov leads the Flyers this season with 10 goals, and five of the 10 goals have opened the scoring for Philly. The current Flyers roster has a total of three goals against Wild goalie Jesper Wallstedt, two by Owen Tippett, who has registered 3+ shots on goal in seven of his eight games against the Wild.

A couple of player props involving the Wild. Quinn Hughes has points in 14 of 16 games this season and Kirill Kaprizov has gone six straight games against the Wild with three shots on goal or fewer and we are going to parlay his shot total Under with Jason Robertson (Dallas), who has gone 10 straight games against the Capitals with three or fewer shots on goal.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Philadelphia Flyers money line (+140) – ½ unit
Regulation draw (+330) – ¼ unit
Matvei Michkov anytime goal (+235) – ¼ unit
Matvei Michkov first Flyers goal (+600) – .10 units
Owen Tippett anytime goal (+360) – .10 units
Owen Tippett 3+ shots on goal (+135) – ¼ unit
Kirill Kaprizov/Jason Robertson (Dal) Under 3.5 shots on goal (+173) – 1 unit
Owen Tippett 2+ shots/Tyson Foerster 2+ shots/Quinn Hughes 1+ point (+228) – ½ unit

Winnipeg Jets at Montreal Canadiens

Winnipeg (+140) at Montreal (-170) – Total 6 (-110)

7 p.m. ET

The Jets are an absolute dumpster fire coming off a 7-0 disaster at Carolina and have lost nine straight and 10 of their last 11 games. It shows how much they miss defenseman Josh Morrissey, who has been out since Oct. 7 with a wrist injury. Having to constantly chase the game doesn’t help either. The Jets have given up the opening goal in each of the last seven games, and five times they allowed the goal in the opening 20 minutes. One interesting trend with the Canadiens is that they have been tied after the first period in 11 of 14 games this season.

A couple of player props for me include Jets defenseman Neal Pionk, who has registered 2+ shots on goal in eight of nine overall and seven of his last eight games against the Canadiens. Instead of laying -190, I will parlay Pionk with the Capitals’ Ryan Leonard for 2+ shots. Leonard is on quite a run, cashing 2+ shots in all 13 games this season and 23 consecutive regular-season games dating to last season. The Habs’ Cole Caufield has 12 points this season, and they have come in six two-point games. Lane Hutson, who scored a goal in the Heritage Classic versus Winnipeg, now has three goals in five games against the Jets, and Oliver Kapanen has two goals in three games versus Winnipeg.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Neal Pionk/Ryan Leonard 2+ shots each (+136) – 3 units
Montreal Canadiens in regulation (+125) – 1 unit
First-period draw (+175) – ¼ unit
Canadiens first goal/first period (+105) – ¼ unit
Caufield 2+ points (+186) – ¼ unit
Lane Hutson anytime goal (+480) – .10 units
Oliver Kapanen anytime goal (+500) – .10 units

Dallas Stars at Washington Capitals

Dallas (-110) at Washington (-110) – Total 5.5 (Over, -120)

7 p.m. ET

The Stars are coming off a 3-1 win over Columbus on Saturday, snapping a two-game losing streak and now head into Washington to face a Capitals team they have beaten in three straight and eight of nine. Six of the nine meetings have been decided by one goal, with two of those games going past regulation. Ten of the last 12 head-to-head meetings have had a combined five goals or less. Just two player props for me in this game that I have already outlined in detail above (See Jets/Canadiens and Wild/Flyers).

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Neal Pionk (Jets)/Ryan Leonard (Caps) 2+ shots each (+136) – 3 units
Kirill Kaprizov/Jason Robertson (Dal) Under 3.5 shots on goal (+173) – 1 unit

Detroit Red Wings at Tampa Bay Lightning

Detroit (+225) at Tampa Bay (-275) – Total 6 (Over, -122)

7 p.m. ET

The Red Wings are fresh off a 5-3 win over the Florida Panthers and head into Tampa on the second half of a back-to-back, as well as three games in four days and four games in six. The Lightning are a perfect 6-0-0 at home this season and have won each of the last three meetings with Detroit, scoring 4+ goals in all three games. Tampa’s Jake Guentzel has four goals in the last three games versus Detroit and has torched Wings goalie John Gibson with nine goals in 13 games. Gage Goncalves has three goals in four games against Gibson. Tonight is Nikita Kucherov’s first game in front of the home fans since he requested a trade. Kucherov has had at least two points in each of the last three meetings versus Detroit and five of the last seven.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Nikita Kucherov 2+ points (-113) – 1 unit
Gage Goncalves anytime goal (+400) – .10 units
Jake Guentzel anytime goal (+150) – ½ unit
Detroit Red Wings/Tampa Bay Lightning Over 6 (-122) – 1 unit
