NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Here are tonight’s NHL predictions and best bets:
St. Louis Blues (22-29-9) at Seattle Kraken (29-22-9)
Blues (+125) at Kraken (-150) – Total 6 (-110)
10 p.m. ET
These two teams met six days ago in St. Louis. The Blues, behind a hat trick from Dylan Holloway, cruised past Seattle, 5-1. The Kraken are coming off a huge 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. Seattle currently sits in the second wild card spot in the Western Conference, only one point back of the Edmonton Oilers with two games in hand. The Blues have been awful on the road this season, with just eight wins in 28 games.
Even with the loss, the Kraken are 16-6 versus teams that have fewer than 60 points (stat courtesy of VSIN’s Steve Makinen). I will take a shot with the Kraken tonight, not on the money line, but on the Puck Line. Nine of Seattle’s last 10 wins have been by two or more goals. I am also on their team total Over 3 goals. The Blues have given up at least three goals in each of their last 15 losses and have lost by two or more goals in 10 of their 15 defeats.
Even though I am on Seattle to win this game, I will be on a pair of Jordan Kyrou props. Kyrou has 10 goals in 13 games (DK for the best price) against Seattle, and he has had at least three shots on goal (BetRivers best price) against the Kraken in 10 consecutive games.
NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Seattle Kraken Puck Line (+180) – .50 units
Seattle Kraken Team Total Over 3 (-136) – 1 unit
Jordan Kyrou anytime goal (+225) – .25 units
Jordan Kyrou Over 2.5 shots on goal (-136) – 2 units
Carolina Hurricanes (38-16-6) at Vancouver Canucks (18-35-7)
Hurricanes (-290) at Canucks (+235) – Total 6 (Over, -118)
10 p.m. ET
After watching the Canucks game against Dallas on Monday night, it sure looks like the Canucks players have already booked their tee times for April 17, the day after their season officially comes to an end. Carolina is coming off a 2-1 loss at Seattle on Monday despite outshooting the Kraken 36-15. The Canucks have dropped 21 of their last 24 and have scored two or fewer goals in nine consecutive games.
Carolina’s Sebastian Aho has 10 goals in 16 games versus Vancouver and five goals in nine games against projected Vancouver starting goalie, Kevin Lankinen. Andrei Svechnikov scored six goals in eight games versus Lankinen.
NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Carolina Hurricanes 1st period Puck Line (+120) – .50 units
Carolina Hurricanes 2nd period Puck Line (+100) – .50 units
Carolina Hurricanes TT Over 3.5 (-150) – 1 unit
Vancouver Canucks TT Under 2.5 (-135) – .50 units
