The ATP and WTA Tours are currently in full swing, as the women are playing a 1000-level event in Doha and the men are competing in 500-level tournaments in Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, and Dallas. With that in mind, we have a lot to cover over the next couple of days. I’ll be writing up my tennis best bets from Monday to Friday, then I’ll post my championship picks on the VSiN Pro Picks page on Sunday. That said, keep reading for my tennis best bets for Thursday, February 12.
NOTE: Gill Alexander, host of A Numbers Game, posts a bunch of tennis plays to the VSiN picks page. He does a great job handicapping tennis. That page is also where I post all of my Challenger-level picks + plays for all of the tournaments I’m not writing up daily.
Jaume Munar vs. Karen Khachanov – Rotterdam
Khachanov can be awesome when he’s playing his best tennis, but we don’t normally see his best stuff early in the year. In fact, just last match, Khachanov really struggled to defeat Jesper De Jong. That was his first match after a disappointing loss to Luciano Darderi at the Australian Open.
With Khachanov not playing the cleanest tennis in the world, Munar should have a good shot at winning this match. The Spaniard continues to get better and better on hard courts, where he has added a more imposing offensive game to go along with his world-class baseline defense. He also continues to get better as a server.
From the back of the court, keep an eye on the backhand-to-backhand exchanges. I normally love Khachanov’s two-hander when he’s ripping it down the line, but that’s not something he goes to when he isn’t feeling extremely confident. That said, we could see Munar do well when they’re trading blows from that wing, and I think the Spaniard will do a good job of hunting opportunities to blast his forehand.
I just like all of the skills Munar brings to the table here. He should find a way to frustrate Khachanov, making this closer to a 50-50 than the odds suggest.
Bet: Munar ML (+122)
Mariano Navone vs. Camilo Ugo Carabelli – Buenos Aires
Navone has taken a sizable tumble in the rankings, as he was world No. 29 back in June 2024. However, this is still a very dangerous clay-court player, and he has to feel pretty good about beating his fellow countryman here.
Ugo Carabelli has played some good tennis since the start of 2026, and he’s actually coming off a Challenger title in Rosario last week. However, you do have to wonder if playing this many clay-court matches in such a short period of time will get to him. This is one of the most physically-demanding surfaces there is, as the rallies can really grind you down. Well, Navone is going to look to test his opponent’s legs here.
Navone also has quite a bit of firepower from the back of the court, and he also possesses a good all-court game on top of that. If he can just turn in a decent serving performance here, he should end up coming away with a victory. That’s because Navone is a top-five returner in the world on this surface, and Ugo Carabelli isn’t good enough with the ball on his racquet to easily run through service games.
Bet: Navone ML (-120 – 1.5 units)
2026 ATP/WTA Record: 116-120 (+24.14 units)
Added Plays
I usually have A LOT MORE on the Pro Picks page. Those plays count towards my record and have been a big part of my success this season. Make sure you check them out. I’ll probably add a few more over there, so refresh that page throughout the day if you’re looking for action.
