The 2026 Mutua Madrid Open is underway at the Caja Magica in Madrid, Spain, and the clay-court season only heats up from here. We’ve broken down the day’s best tennis betting picks for Madrid, digging into matchup tactics, surface tendencies, and current form to find the sharpest edges on the board. Whether you’re betting the moneyline, game spread, set spread, or total, our 2026 Mutua Madrd Open best bets are built to help you profit. I’m dropping some of my favorite plays for Tuesday, April 28 below, but make sure you also monitor the picks page throughout the day. I generally have a few more picks over there, plus I occasionally add plays based on how lines are moving. That’s also where Gill Alexander posts his best bets.
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs. Casper Ruud
Vit Kopriva vs. Rafael Jodar
I really like Ruud to beat Tsitsipas on Tuesday, but laying 3.5 games doesn’t interest me. While Tsitsipas has really struggled over the last few years, his game is a perfect fit for Madrid. He’s still a player with a booming serve, he moves well on the dirt, and he can be tough to beat when his plus-one forehand is firing. However, this matchup is one that should ultimately go Ruud’s way. Ruud’s heavy topspin forehand should allow him to push Tsitsipas around in this match, and he could also make the Greek player uncomfortable by getting up on his weak one-handed backhand. That said, as long as Ruud’s calf injury doesn’t act up, he’s a player I’d strongly suggest throwing into parlays.
To get a better price on Ruud, I’m simply pairing him with Jodar to beat Kopriva. Of course, I should note that this is a bit of a letdown spot, as Jodar is coming off a win over Joao Fonseca in a highly-anticipated evening match. But I do believe that Jodar’s game is good enough to beat Kopriva in these conditions, even if the Spaniard is a little off. And having the crowd in his corner should only help him get across the finish line.
PARLAY: Ruud ML & Jodar ML (-137 – 1.5 units)
Hailey Baptiste vs. Aryna Sabalenka
I feel really good about Sabalenka’s chances of winning this match, but we have a big future riding on her to win the quarter. I played the Belarusian to make the semifinals to win 3.5 units, and I have no problem sparing 0.5 of those to remove pretty much my entire risk. That said, I’m playing Baptiste to win 4.5 units. I’ll also be looking into ways to hedge my Linda Noskova play in Quarter 3, as she’s one win away from cashing a 10-1 ticket for us. But with that final match being played against Marta Kostyuk, I definitely want to make sure I set up a profitable scenario either way.
Hedge: Baptiste ML (+900 – 0.5 units)
NOTE: While I only have a few picks written up here, I usually have more on the Pro Picks page. I try to select the plays I write up based on player popularity. Some of the picks on the Pro Picks page are higher-confidence selections.
