The 2026 Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is underway at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, and the clay-court action really heats up on the French Riviera. We’ve broken down the day’s best tennis betting picks for Monte-Carlo, digging into matchup tactics, surface tendencies, and current form to find the sharpest edges on the board. Whether you’re betting the moneyline, game spread, set spread, or total, our 2026 Monte-Carlo Masters best bets are built to help you profit. I’m dropping some of my favorite plays for Wednesday, April 8 below, but make sure you also monitor the picks page throughout the day. I generally have a few more picks over there, plus I occasionally add plays based on how lines are moving. That’s also where Gill Alexander posts his best bets.
Matteo Berrettini vs. Daniil Medvedev
I liked Berrettini to beat Roberto Bautista Agut last match, and the Italian ended up going up 4-0 before his opponent retired. Now, Berrettini has had the opportunity to get his feet wet on these courts, which have suited his playing style nicely in the past. However, while he got to experience some actual match play, he didn’t have to put much of a tax on his body. That’s huge for a player like Berrettini, who has dealt with serious injuries throughout his career.
Looking at Berrettini’s match against Medvedev, it’s now hard not to like the Italian to give himself a chance to win. Medvedev has made improvements on clay, and he has also been a much better player in 2026 than he was in 2025. However, this is the surface you want to face the Russian on, as Medvedev is just 44-35 on the dirt in his career. Meanwhile, Berrettini is 71-30 on clay in his career, and he has already played a bunch of clay-court matches this season.
Berrettini is just more comfortable than his opponent on this surface, and his massive forehand, efficient slice backhand, and booming first serve — and even big, kick second serve — make him a hard out on clay. So, I’m willing to take a big shot with Berrettini to win a set, especially with his serve giving him a high floor on a match-by-match basis. I also think the Italian can win this one, as Medvedev hasn’t played an actual match on clay since last year’s French Open.
Bet: Berrettini +1.5 Sets (-161 – 1.5 units) & Berrettini ML (+175 – 0.5 units)
Alejandro Tabilo vs. Jiri Lehecka
Last year, in 15 trackable matches (non-Slams) at TennisViz and Tennis Data Innovations, Tabilo’s clay-court Performance Rating of 7.50 was slightly higher than Lehecka’s 7.48. Tabilo has also played some great tennis all year long, as the southpaw is 14-9 at the ATP level and 4-1 in Challengers in 2026. He has simply played a lot of matches, and he has won a lot of big ones — including one against Joao Fonseca and another against Andrey Rublev.
Tabilo has also played more matches — and won at a higher clip — than Lehecka on clay, meaning he should have a better understanding of how to get across the finish line here. Also, this is an interesting tournament for this matchup to be taking place, as Lehecka is mostly a bomber on serve and plays big, bold tennis from the baseline. Well, that stuff doesn’t necessarily work as well on a grittier clay court. Tabilo has a powerful game himself, but he also has a better feel for grinding out physical matches.
There’s just enough looking at this match to suggest that the underdog is very, very live. I think there’s at least a 50% chance the Chilean finds the winner circle, so this is one I’m firing up.
Bet: Tabilo ML (+126)
Joao Fonseca vs. Arthur Rinderknech
Corentin Moutet vs. Casper Ruud
I like Fonseca and Ruud to win their matches on Wednesday, so I’m pairing them together to avoid heavy juice or big spreads. With Fonseca, it’s just clear he’s leveling up right now. After a very slow start to the year — with back issues hampering him — Fonseca has now won five of his last seven matches, with the losses coming against Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. Also, both of those losses were competitive battles, with the Sinner one being one of the best matches of the year. Now, Fonseca is playing on clay, which is his best surface at the moment. And in his battle with Rinderknech, there’s a good chance his overall game overwhelms the Frenchman. Rinderknech is a very good server, but his baseline game leaves a lot to be desired.
In the other match, Moutet is an awesome clay-court performer and a fun overall showman. However, Ruud is one of the best clay-court players on the planet, and he shouldn’t have much trouble here. The Norwegian shouldn’t be too bothered by Moutet’s antics, and Ruud should be able to simply bully him around the court with his heavy topspin forehand.
PARLAY: Fonseca ML & Ruud ML (-120 – 1.5 units)
