Eastbourne, Mallorca and Bad Homburg predictions and best bets for June 27th

Wimbledon is now a week away and that means that things are about to heat up. There are grass-court events in all different parts of the world (Eastbourne, Mallorca and Bad Homburg), and there are also some Challenger-level events being played. I’ll be taking a bit of a scattered approach over the next few days, taking advantage of the insane amount of tennis to find value wherever I can. Below you’ll find some tennis best bets for the Mallorca Championships in Spain and the Rothesay International in Great Britain for Thursday, June 27th.

I’m going to quickly hit on some of my favorite picks below, but I usually have a lot more tennis predictions on the Pro Picks page. I also occasionally add some picks throughout the day, as schedules can get wonky with the international nature of the sport. I also like to see how odds are moving. That said, keep checking the page every couple of hours if you want more of my picks.

2024 Record: 433-435 (+39.73 units)

Emma Raducanu vs. Daria Kasatkina – Eastbourne

I had Raducanu to beat Jessica Pegula on Wednesday. The Brit ended up facing match points in the second set of that one, but she was able to escape with a victory. Raducanu should now be feeling a sense of relief, and she should play some much cleaner tennis because of it. Sometimes getting pushed to the brink of elimination can be the best thing imaginable early in a tournament.

Raducanu also happens to have a pretty good matchup here. While Kasatkina is a very good player, she has lost four of her last seven matches. And even some of her wins have been rather unconvincing, especially against average competition. Well, with Kasatkina not in her best form, I just don’t think you can count on her to beat Raducanu on grass. The Brit just has a little more purpose in her grass-court game, and she’s also the better server between these two. And if that’s not enough, Raducanu will have the full support of the crowd here.

Bet: Raducanu ML (-149)

Roberto Bautista Agut vs. Gael Monfils – Mallorca

Bautista Agut suffered a disappointing loss to Max Purcell in Halle, but TennisViz and Tennis Data Innovations have him as one of the most effective grass-court players in the world (according to their Performance Rating metric) when looking at a small sample over the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Bautista Agut is also an impressive 49-23 on grass in his career, which gives him a higher winning percentage on this surface than any other. Meanwhile, grass has been the worst surface for Monfils. With that in mind, I see this as a nice opportunity to jump on some plus-money odds.

Monfils does have the ability to dial things in and become lights out as a server. But that comes and goes. And over the last few weeks, the serve hasn’t really been there for him. That said, look for Bautista Agut to have more break point opportunities here. And don’t be surprised if the Spaniard is the better player from the baseline. His forehand will be the biggest weapon on the court here, and he won’t make as many mistakes as his opponent.

Bet: Bautista Agut ML (+110 – 1.5 units)

Donna Vekic vs. Katerina Siniakova – Bad Homburg

Siniakova’s meeting with Liudmila Samsonova spilled over into Wednesday, but I still like her chances against Vekic. Both of these players know how to win on the grass, but Siniakova has been in better form lately. She’s now 6-1 since moving over to this surface, where her aggressive style and ability to play at the net has always made her dangerous. Siniakova has also dominated this head-to-head series, as she’s 4-1 in five meetings with Vekic. One of those victories was a straight-set win on grass. Another was a straight-set win on hard courts back in February. That’s a surface in which Vekic really should get the better of Siniakova, but it didn’t happen. So, there’s just no real reason not to play Siniakova here.

Bet: Siniakova ML (-149 – 2 units)
