2025 Record: 842-828-1 (+25.42 units)

Belinda Bencic vs. Ekaterina Alexandrova

While Alexandrova earned a dominant 6-1, 6-2 win over Bencic at Bad Homburg, our VSiN betting splits show some sharp money coming in on the Swiss. While nearly 75% of the tickets at DraftKings Sportsbook have Alexandrova, the Russian has gone from -300 to -215. That’s pretty significant to me, as I’m already expecting a better performance from Bencic.

When these two played two weeks ago, Bencic made 66.0% of her first serves and won only 45.2% of her first serve points. That means there was some outrageous returning from Alexandrova, and Bencic was lousy when it came to handling her business. Well, we should see a much better performance from the Swiss as a server here, and that should brings things much closer to a 50-50.

Alexandrova has had an incredible season, and her power game is incredibly effective on faster surfaces. However, Bencic is 49-23 on grass in her career, and she’s also very intelligent. She’ll learn from what went wrong in the last match and be ready for a fight here.

Bet: Bencic +1.5 Sets (-146 – 1.5 units) & Bencic ML (+180 – 0.5 units)

Lorenzo Sonego vs. Ben Shelton
Grigor Dimitrov vs. Jannik Sinner

Shelton has won two matches in a row against Sonego, giving him a 3-1 record against the Italian in the head-to-head series. The last one was a bit of a statement win, too. Shelton earned a five-set victory over Sonego at Roland Garros, beating the Italian on his preferred surface. Well, it’s now a little hard not to like Shelton to beat him on grass. One of Sonego’s biggest weaknesses is his return game, as he had a 13.5% break percentage in 2024 and is only at 15.9% in 2025. That’s not going to hack it against one of the best servers in the world, in one of the sport’s most server-friendly venues. Of course, Shelton’s also a weak returner, but he’s a big-match player that tends to find ways to give himself opportunities. And I trust the American to convert enough of those to win, or win enough tiebreakers.

To get Shelton at a more reasonable price, I’m pairing him to win with Dimitrov to cover a massive alternate game spread. I was tempted by Dimitrov at the regular game spread, but I do think it’s possible we’ll see Sinner run away with one of the sets. He just puts so much pressure on opponents, and eventually they tend to fold. We have seen it all tournament. However, Dimitrov is one of the few players on the ATP Tour with a ton of grass-court experience, and he has always performed at a high level on this surface. Dimitrov has also been lights out as a server in this year’s event, making it hard to imagine him getting completely stomped. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if one or two of the sets in this match ends with a score of 7-6 or 7-5. I also don’t think it’s crazy to believe that Dimitrov can win one. This is the healthiest he has looked all year, and he’s getting Sinner on the right surface. The Italian has played only 36 grass-court matches in his career.

PARLAY: Shelton ML & Dimitrov Alt Spread +9.5 Games (-159)
