Wimbledon predictions and best bets for Day 11 – July 11th:

The short grass-court season is already nearing its end, as we’re already into the Wimbledon semifinals. This has been an exciting tournament thus far, but the best is yet to come. We’re going to have some new Grand Slam champions soon, and these final matches should be exhilarating. That said, let’s look at Day 11 of the action at the All England Club, which will take place on Thursday, July 11th. The day will feature the two women’s semifinals, with Donna Vekic facing Jasmine Paolini and Barbora Krejcikova facing Elena Rybakina.

I also post more tennis predictions on the Pro Picks page. I occasionally add some picks throughout the day, as I like to see how odds are moving. So, keep checking that page every couple of hours if you want more of my picks. I’ll also post plays for smaller tournaments on that page.

2024 Record: 504-512 (+30.10 units)

Donna Vekic vs. Jasmine Paolini

Click here for the full match analysis for Vekic vs. Paolini!

Vekic has never been to a Grand Slam final, but she’s a proven grass-court performer. And her wins over Dayana Yastremska and Paula Badosa shouldn’t be taken lightly. Vekic has never been a top-10 player in her career, but she has undoubtedly been a top-10 talent at times. With that in mind, don’t make the mistake of thinking this will be an easy win for Paolini just because she’s seventh in the world and Vekic is 37th. Vekic has accomplished a lot more on this surface and undoubtedly sees this as an opportunity to break through.

Barbora Krejcikova vs. Elena Rybakina

Click here for the full match analysis for Krejcikova vs. Rybakina!

Rybakina looks like the clear favorite to win this tournament. For starters, she has won this thing before. But her game is also a perfect fit for the grass, as she has an elite serve and the ability to easily win quick points. The draw also happened to play out perfectly for her, as Aryna Sabalenka didn’t play and both Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff got bounced relatively early. Rybakina does, however, have to face a former Grand Slam champion in the semifinals. Krejcikova has also beaten Rybakina twice in two career meetings. She has a very tricky game and the odds for this match suggest she doesn’t have much of a chance. But this does have the potential to be tighter than expected.
