The WTA Finals brings together the eight best players in women’s tennis for a showcase event that always delivers drama, unpredictability, and elite-level competition. With every match offering high-stakes matchups and a host of betting opportunities, today’s slate promises another set of compelling markets and value plays for bettors looking to find an edge. Whether you’re following outright odds or diving into set winner and prop markets, here’s a look at the matches for Tuesday, November 4 at the WTA Finals, complete with tennis best bets, expert picks, and the latest odds from top sportsbooks.
NOTE: Gill Alexander, host of A Numbers Game, posts his tennis plays to the VSiN picks page. He does a great job handicapping tennis. That page is also where I post all of my Challenger-level picks + plays for all of the tournaments I’m not writing up daily.
Jasmine Paolini vs. Coco Gauff
Gauff opened as a -154 favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, but she was quickly bet up to -189 — according to our VSiN betting splits. I normally like to follow big line movement like that, as aligning yourself with sharp bettors is generally a good idea. However, having seen what Gauff looked like against Jessica Pegula on Sunday, I have to take a piece of Paolini.
No two days are the same on the WTA Tour, so there’s a chance Gauff turns things around on Tuesday. However, the American hit 17 double faults against Pegula. She also had 45 unforced errors on the forehand wing, which is outrageously high — especially compared to her eight winners. Gauff has proven to be very streaky with both the serve and the forehand. She has her weeks where she looks great with both, making her unbeatable when coupled with her elite movement and world-class backhand. However, when those two shots are misfiring, she’s very beatable.
Paolini should be able to take advantage of Gauff’s struggles. The Italian had actually won three matches in a row before losing to the American in Wuhan, so it’s hard to say this head-to-head series is all that far away from being even.
Bet: Paolini +1.5 Sets (-155 – 1.5 units) & Paolini ML (+165 – 0.5 units)
Added Plays
I usually have A LOT MORE on the Pro Picks page. Those plays count towards my record and have been a big part of my success this season. Make sure you check them out. I’ll probably add a few more over there, so refresh that page throughout the day if you’re looking for action.
