The Yankees live to see another day. As a result, we’ll see four MLB playoff games today.

  • Mariners (+100 at Circa) at Tigers (-112), 3:08 ET. Seattle leads 2-1.
  • Brewers (+109 at Circa) at Cubs (-121), 5:08 ET. Milwaukee leads 2-0.

  • Phillies (+154 at Circa) at Dodgers (-172), 9:08 ET. LA leads 2-0.

Dave Tuley’s MLB report: Favorites went 2-0 Tuesday in ALDS Game 3s as the Mariners (-132 road faves) outslugged the Tigers 8-4 (flew Over 7.5 runs) & Yankees (-165 home chalk) rallied to beat Blue Jays 9-6 (flew Over 8 runs); Overs swept 2-0. Favorites/underdogs are back to .500 in the divisional series round at 5-5; Overs improved to 7-3. Overall in the playoffs, faves lead 14-7; Over/Unders back to. 500 overall at 10-10-1.

Greg Peterson has opinions on all four games today.

Adam Burke will file his Best Bets and Steve Makinen will have his Analytics Report later this morning.

Flacco to the rescue?

The Bengals traded for Browns quarterback Joe Flacco, who is expected to step right in and start against the Packers on Sunday.

Before the trade, the Bengals were 14.5-point underdogs at Circa . . . and they are still 14.5-point underdogs.

In case you are wondering, the current timeline for Joe Burrow to return is Week 16 (Dec. 21).

Everything we post on NFL Week 6 will be here.

Look for Josh Appelbaum’s early NFL Sharp Report later this morning.

Coming off a challenging week with entries on the Rams and Cardinals, Gill Alexander offers his survivor advice that surprisingly doesn’t include pick a team that doesn’t fumble on the 1. At least, Kelley Bydlon is still live in Circa Survivor. >>Watch the segment.

CFB Week 7 starts tonight

The good news: We have Wednesday night college football.

The bad news: These games may test the “any football is better than no football” theory.

That’s what Adam Burke writes in previewing a Conference USA doubleheader of Missouri State (-2) at Middle Tennessee (7:30 ET, ESPN2)  and Liberty (-1) at UTEP (8 ET, CBS SN).

But they are on the board and Adam offers his advice if you are so inclined.

Steve Makinen’s Analytics Report has some system matches for these games.

On the VSiN College Football Betting Podcast, Adam and Tim Murray discussed the ESPN report Oklahoma QB John Mateer is “pushing” to play this weekend against Texas. The betting market reacted to that report, but should it have? Is this a “buy low” spot on Texas? >Watch. >Listen.
