High levels of activity in and around VSiN: Week 1 of college football starts tonight. A big announcement for the company. Gill Alexander has an intriguing guest on today’s A Numbers Game. And eight $100,000 entries for Circa Grandissimo in one day.

VSiN debuts on FanDuel Sports Network

It’s an exciting day for us here at VSiN.

VSiN By The Books, hosted by Dave Ross and Jensen Lewis, will run on the FanDuel Sports Network, starting today.

FanDuel Sports Network, owned and operated by Main Street Sports Group, is the country’s leading provider of local sports with television rights for many pro teams.

VSiN’s morning show (7-10 a.m. ET) will appear on nine FanDuel Sports Network regions: Detroit, Florida, Midwest, North, Ohio, South, Southwest, West and Wisconsin.

If you are in those neighborhoods, I hope you will tune in and spread the word to your friends.

>>More on the partnership.

One more programming note . . .

Matthew Bowyer pleaded guilty last year to running an illegal sports betting operation that recruited hundreds of clients, including Ippei Mizuhara, the former interpreter for Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani. Tomorrow, he will be sentenced. Today, he’s on A Numbers Game (10 a.m.-1 p.m. ET) with Gill Alexander.

Ain’t it Grandissimo

The Circa sportsbook was definitely buzzing on Wednesday.

At around 4:30 p.m., there were 23 entries in the Circa Grandissimo. By the end of the night, there were 31 in the inaugural high-stakes survivor contest.

I met social media influencer Bryce Hall as he was plonking down $200,000 in hundred-dollar bricks for two entries. Then he came on VSiN with Scott Seidenberg. >>Watch clip.

(Just so you know: I have a high standard for calling someone a social media influencer. Bryce has 23.4 million TikTok followers and a million on X. So he’s OK by me.)

I also ran into Brandon Wittmeyer as the Las Vegas professional poker player spent $200K on two entries. Brandon reminded me that VSiN founder Brian Musburger and I talked to him about investing in VSiN back in 2018. He took a pass. But he was nice about it.

Need $100,000? Winners Circle Proxy can’t help you with that, but they can serve as your proxy for the Circa contests.

Speaking of poker players: The first episodes of the new Fade Us Sports podcast with poker stars Phil Hellmuth, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Brandon Cantu and David Woodley are out as the guys break down win totals for the AFC and NFC. >>Listen now.
