Fortunately, we still have more Week 1 college football.
Coming off a prescient prediction of Alabama’s 31-17 loss to Florida State (+14), VSiN.com senior editor Zach Cohen offers his thoughts on tonight’s Notre Dame-Miami game.
Perhaps this is the year Miami lives up to the lofty expectations, but I’ll believe it when I see it. And I certainly don’t like the team’s chances of covering a small number against one of the best teams in college football in Week 1. That said, I’m putting some faith in Notre Dame’s freshman quarterback and laying 2.5 with the Irish.

I find Heisman Trophy talk tedious. There, I said it. Yes, I know we talk about it a lot on VSiN.
That said, the movement in the Heisman odds told the story of Saturday’s action.
Arch Manning slipped from the favorite at +650 to +1600 at DraftKings Sportsbook after Texas’ 14-7 loss to Ohio State (-1.5). LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier took over as favorite at +750 after a 17-10 upset of Clemson (-5). Cade Klubnik, Clemson’s QB, was at +700 before his game (but after Manning’s) and finished the day +1400.
