College Basketball’s March to Selection Sunday Begins

In a one-bid league, there’s no margin. No at-large cushion. Just survive and advance.

The Horizon League Tournament tips off tonight, officially launching the sprint to Selection Sunday on March 15. It’s the first of 31 conference tournaments, the opening bell of what many bettors consider the most exploitable stretch of the season.

Wright State opens as the +200 favorite, but this isn’t the kind of bracket where laying a short price feels comfortable, according to VSiN.com managing editor Adam Burke. Robert Morris (+320) has won seven straight and already owns two wins over the top seed. Oakland (+425) can score with anyone.

Adam breaks down the Horizon League futures market — and why the value may sit just beyond the favorite — in his preview.

The Patriot League and Sun Belt are up next, starting Tuesday.

👉 Adam’s previews are already linked in our Conference Tournament Hub.

Greg “Hoops” Peterson takes a pass on the Horizon League opener (Detroit Mercy-Milwaukee), but does have an opinion on a big Iowa State at Arizona matchup in his Best Bets.

Later this morning on our college basketball page: Adam Burke will have his top plays and Josh Appelbaum will interpret the money movement.

Luke DiVasta says he has at least one play for “The Angle” and he will post them here.
