Only one sleep left until the NFL season kicks off.

Now’s the perfect time to look at Week 2?!

So writes Mike Somich, host of Ready, Set, Bet!

For years on VSiN, I have been preaching if you want to become a more profitable bettor, there are two very easy steps to take. First, having outs, at least five separate sports books is ideal so you can always get the best number, but you should have at least two to three places you can shop for the best prices. The second is to bet earlier.

In a weekly piece throughout the NFL season, Mike will jump to the following week’s menu of games for betting opportunities, but buyer beware:

We will get screwed by injuries, or maybe benefit, in some weeks. Weather will be a factor. Do not expect to see many Browns home game Over bets later in the season, but in the end, luck should balance out.

>>Read on for Mike’s two plays for Week 2.

If you want to focus on a game that is a little closer, like tomorrow, Zach Cohen weighs in on the Cowboys-Eagles opener. The line at Circa was as high as Eagles -9 at Circa on Tuesday, but settled at 8 by day’s end.

We’ll be posting everything we do on Week 1 on this page.

CFB Week 2 stability plays

Steve Makinen has 13 Week 2 games that qualify under his Stability Score Betting System.

The system is 5-7 so far this season, but we certainly saw it play out in TCU’s blowout victory over North Carolina on Monday night.
