It was a bit of a late night at Circa. I spent some quality time with Circa owner Derek Stevens, who was happy because he is a Michigan alum — but also because of all the late money that came in on Arizona, enough to flip favorites.

Game of the Year
On a day when the Final Four was expected to captivate basketball fans, the NBA kind of stole the show.

The Nuggets beat the Spurs 136-134 in an OT thriller. Both stars delivered, as Nikola Jokic had 40 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists while Victor Wembanyama finished with 34 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks.

Austin Reaves out for rest of season + start of playoffs
The Lakers were dealt a blow when they found out Luka Doncic is out indefinitely with a sprained hamstring. However, things got even worse on Saturday, as it was announced that Reaves will miss 4-6 weeks with a strained oblique.

LA has been one of the hottest teams in basketball over the last couple of months, but the team’s two best shot creators are going to miss the start of the postseason. Now, there will likely be too much on LeBron James’ shoulders, meaning a first-round exit is probably imminent. The Lakers are out to 300-1 to win the West and 500-1 to win the NBA title.

Sunday Games
Raptors-Celtics kicks off the day on NBA TV, and we’ll also get a nightcap between the Rockets and Warriors on NBC/Peacock at 10 ET.

Stephen Curry will be back for Golden State. Curry’s return makes that a popcorn matchup.
