College Football Playoff Odds, Picks & Predictions
The five-day playoff-palooza kicks off tonight with Penn State-Notre Dame (7:30 ET, ESPN) in the CFP semifinals.
Matt Youmans did something unexpected with the Orange Bowl:
This game should be a grinder similar to Notre Dame-Georgia. [ND QB] Riley Leonard, who ran for 80 yards against the Bulldogs, will be forced to carry the offense. My bet on Notre Dame at 10-1 odds to win the CFP is my bet on the side. If the Irish win, it’s likely to be by a narrow margin, so I’m doing something I rarely do in college football and playing a teaser.
For a second, I thought I was reading Dave Tuley’s “Teaser Portfolio.”
Speaking of Tuley, Mr. Dog or Pass took a pass on Penn State. Spoiler Alert: He will have an opinion on Friday’s Ohio State-Texas Cotton Bowl.

Wild-Card Weekend Q&A
Will Jalen Hurts be ready to play Sunday vs. the Packers?
Hurts hasn’t cleared concussion protocol yet, but he did see limited practice time Wednesday. The line has moved to Philly -4.5 from the opening -3.5, so at least the market suggests he will play.
The other question heading into Wild-Card Weekend: Will Monday’s Vikings-Rams game be played in LA or moved because of the fires engulfing the city?
The NFL says it is monitoring the situation and has a contingency plan to move the game to Glendale, Ariz., on the same day.
