Playoff-palooza weekend is almost upon us.
On his regular appearance with Mitch Moss and Pauly Howard, Circa Las Vegas CEO Derek Stevens said the confluence of the CFP semifinals and the six Wild-Card games could result in a handle rivaling Super Bowl weekend.
But my favorite part of this weekend will happen Friday night when Circa Million and Survivor contestants who cashed pick up their oversized checks at the awards ceremony at The D Hotel. FYI: If you want to draw attention from opportunistic “showgirls” in Las Vegas, try walking down Fremont Street with an oversized check for $1 million.
But I love meeting the contestants and hearing their stories. Most of them are VSiN fans, so that’s cool, too.
I doubt I will hear a better story, though, than the Circa Survivor tale of “Vodka Johnny.” Derek told Mitch and Pauly why Vodka Johnny didn’t find out till Monday that his entry went 20-0 and won $1.7M. I’ll let Derek tell the rest.
