⚽ The World Cup Hits Vegas
I was stunned as I walked into Circa on Thursday afternoon.

The sportsbook was a boisterous sea of green, white and red.

Yes, the World Cup has begun.

The pro-Mexico crowd was rewarded with a 2-0 victory over South Africa in the opener, a match that somehow featured three red cards.

Circa is definitely the place to be during the World Cup. (I was told Stadium Swim had an even better atmosphere.)

The sportsbook may have more action than today’s match when the United States opens against Paraguay (9 p.m. ET, Fox) in Los Angeles.

Writes VSiN’s Luke DiVasta: “Don’t expect fireworks. This one has the look of a low-scoring, grind-it-out affair.”

Odds at Circa: U.S. -110, Draw +250, Paraguay +330.

🏆 One Win From Glory
Alas, the end is approaching for both the NBA and NHL playoffs.

The Knicks are one win away from the NBA title but remain underdogs for Saturday’s Game 5 in San Antonio, where the Spurs are -5.5 at DraftKings and -5 at Circa.

The Hurricanes are one win away from the Stanley Cup after beating Vegas 4-2 on Thursday night to take a 3-2 series lead.

The Golden Knights are slight underdogs for Sunday’s Game 6 at T-Mobile Arena, but coach John Tortorella isn’t acting like somebody preparing for the offseason.

“We’ll be back here…. I’m going to leave my clothes here, that’s for sure. They’ll be in the hotel.”

At Polymarket, the Hurricanes are priced at a 53% probability of winning Game 6 while the Spurs are at a 65% probability of winning Game 5.

⚾ Vegas Totals Stay Wild
The Athletics will host three more games at Las Vegas Ballpark this weekend, and oddsmakers are keeping totals sky high.

After a 29-run opener, the next two games finished 7-5 and 4-3, yet tonight’s Rockies-Athletics total still sits at 13.5.

Greg Peterson believes that’s too high.

Colorado ranks 25th in road scoring, while Athletics rookie Gage Jump has posted a 2.45 ERA since being called up.

Greg is backing the Athletics on the run line and playing Under 13.5.
