WNBA Best Bets:

Yesterday, I wrote about my projections for the solo Wednesday game and the Thursday night games, which allowed us to get some great line value by betting against the early numbers with our WNBA best bets. Working ahead again today, I’m going to give you Friday’s projections for all three games in hopes we can take further advantage of early lines at recreational books. The schedule won’t always align like this, but when it does, I will be happy to get projections out a day in advance.

Here are the Friday projections:

Dallas Wings vs. Atlanta Dream

I’ve written several times how inconsistent both of these teams have been this year; both have shown the capability to hang with or beat elite teams but have also shown the propensity for laying an absolute egg at times. Atlanta is a 1-point road favorite with an Over/Under of 166.5, while TSI makes Atlanta a 4.5-point favorite with a total of 162.5. There’s value on both the Dream and the under here, but I think I like the side better since Dallas has had games (like Wednesday) where they just turn it into a track meet, so I’m hesitant to play an under here.

WNBA Best Bet: Atlanta Dream -1 (Play to -2)

Los Angeles Sparks vs. Las Vegas Aces

Since the Aces play Thursday night, there is currently no line for this game. TSI projects Vegas -9.5 with a total of 174.5, subject to change after tonight’s results. I would anticipate seeing value on the Sparks if the Aces come close to covering the 16-point spread against the Mystics on Thursday.

Seattle Storm vs. Chicago Sky

Seattle is currently a 10-point favorite against Angel Reese and the Sky, with an Over/Under set at 161.5. TSI projects Storm -7 with a total of 161.5, so it is aligned with the market on the total but shows value on the Sky. Weighing recent games more heavily would push my projection closer to the market, so I’m going to stay away from this one for now and not force a play.
