Connecticut Sun vs. Minnesota Lynx
It’s win-or-go-home time in Minnesota tonight, as the Minnesota Lynx and Connecticut Sun will do battle for the opportunity to take on the home-and-resting New York Liberty. The Liberty disposed of the two-time defending champion Aces in four games. This semifinal has been a heavyweight fight between two very good teams and almost identical scoring totals, with Minnesota averaging 80 points per game and Connecticut averaging 79. These teams split the previous two meetings in Minnesota, with the Sun taking Game 1 before the Lynx tied it at 1-1 heading to Connecticut. TSI is calling for another barn-burner, with Minnesota projected as a two-point favorite with a total of just 148. The current lines on the game are Minnesota -4.5 with an Over/Under of 151.5. I would expect this to be a lower-scoring affair, given that it’s the fifth game of a series, so fatigue is a factor, but also the fact that it’s win-or-go-home, so each possession will matter all the more. I would lean to Connecticut here against the spread, due to their veteran leadership and tenacity that’s built for an environment like this, but I think the Under is a more attractive play here for a WNBA best bet
