We were able to remain hot with a 2-0 sweep on Wednesday night thanks to the Aces and Wings scoring well into the 170s and the Minnesota Lynx taking no prisoners vs the Sparks. Another two game slate awaits Thursday night and you know I’ve got you covered with projections for both games as we look to keep the positive momentum going. I will post my updated power ratings below, but it’s worth noting that Minnesota is the new #1 in the TSI, with Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever being dead last. Now, let’s get to the Mystics vs Sky and Dream vs Liberty projections.

Washington Mystics vs Chicago Sky
Despite not having a single win, the Mystics are not even in the bottom two of my power ratings, as they are 11th on offense and 9th on defense; they face Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky team who I’ve got rated 7th overall, and 6th on both offense and defense. The Sky are 4.5-point road favorites with an Over/Under of 156.TSI projects the Sky -5 with a total of 155.5, so there’s basically no edge to be had at the current lines in this game. Removing preseason projections from the formula, I’d make this game Sky -6.5 with a total of 154, which still isn’t enough of an edge for me to make a play here.
Advice: Stay Away
Atlanta Dream vs New York Liberty
The Liberty are 8-2 and are as talented as anyone in the league, but from a betting perspective I think they might be a little bit overrated by the market. They are currently 6.5-point favorites on the road with an Over/Under of 165.5 as Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and company take on Rhyne Howard and Cheyenne Parker’s Atlanta Dream at the Gateway Center.
TSI sees this game a little differently, projecting New York -3 with a total of 159.5. Using on-court data only I would still make this game Liberty -2.5 with a total of 157. Both the spread and total have moved opposite of TSI so far on this game, so if you’re riding with me, I’d encourage you to wait and evaluate the market to get the best number, but I still like both the under and the Dream here, though I have more faith in the Dream to cover at home – they just beat the Aces at home last week.
Bet: Dream +6.5 or better
