Fairfield vs. Sacred Heart
Both defenses struggle to guard the three-point line, ranking outside the top 300 in opponent three-point shooting percentage. However, Fairfield’s offense is limited, ranking 244th in three-point shooting at 32.6%. Sacred Heart, shooting 34.9% from three (115th in the nation), should capitalize on Fairfield’s weak interior defense, which ranks 295th in opponent two-point shooting percentage.
Pick: Sacred Heart -6 (Greg’s Handicapped Line: Sacred Heart -8.5)
Quinnipiac vs. Merrimack
Quinnipiac ranks 344th in the nation in three-point shooting at 29.7%. They face a Merrimack defense that forces turnovers at the fourth-highest rate in the country on a per-possession basis at home. Merrimack also ranks 54th in points per possession allowed overall.
