VMI vs. Pittsburgh

7:00 PM ET

VMI is off to a surprising 4-1 start with their lone loss coming by a single point against Tennessee Tech. Their international pipeline has been paying dividends with sophomore Augustinas Kiudulas averaging 21.8 points per game and Tan Yildizoglu averaging 7.2 assists per game to lend unexpected production to the offense.

VMI +29.5 (Greg’s Handicap VMI +23.5)

Colgate vs. NC State

7:00 PM ET

Colgate dominates games around the perimeter, ranking in the top 50 in 3-point shooting percentage in five of the past six seasons and should see their 29.4% 3-point shooting go up soon. They should play NC State tough on the glass, with the Wolfpack entering Monday without a single player averaging more than five rebounds per game.

Colgate +13 (Greg’s Handicap Colgate +9.5)

Arkansas Pine Bluff vs. Texas Tech

8:00 PM ET

Pine Bluff ranking 361st in the country in points allowed on a per possession basis isn’t ideal, but they have nine different players averaging more than five points per game. Texas Tech will have issues covering this size of a spread with their slow pace of play, ranking 287th in total possessions per game entering Sunday.

Arkansas Pine Bluff +40.5 (Greg’s Handicap Arkansas Pine Bluff +32.5)

North Dakota State vs. Southern Illinois

8:00 PM ET

First year Southern Illinois coach Scott Nagy last season was at Wright State and had that team eighth in the nation in points scored on a per possession basis. So far, that offensive philosophy has the Salukis averaging 81.3 points per game. Now they face a North Dakota team that was 336th in opponents 3-point shooting percentage last season and 337th in points allowed on a per possession basis. As of Sunday, they were 325th in points allowed per possession to begin this season.

Southern Illinois -6.5 (Greg’s Handicap Southern Illinois -10)

Gonzaga vs. San Diego State

10:00 PM ET

While San Diego State will not have any of their top five scorers from the 2023-24 season on the floor in this game, they are still a tough customer on defense, ranking in the top 35 in points scored on a per possession basis in every season since the 2011-12 season. This is Gonzaga’s first road test of the season.

San Diego State +11.5 (Greg’s Handicap San Diego State +6.5)
