Niagara vs. Bowling Green
7:00 PM ET
While Bowling Green gave Michigan State a major scare over the weekend, they take on a Niagara unit that was sixth in the country in road 3-point shooting percentage at 38.5% last season and are picking up right where they left off. In road games against Michigan State and Detroit, they’ve made 36.7% of their 3-point attempts on the road.
Niagara +8.5 (Greg’s Handicap Niagara +3.5)
Cleveland State vs. Minnesota
7:00 PM ET
The Minnesota backcourt is beginning to adjust to playing without Mike Mitchell Jr. and Tyler Cochran. Their overall tempo this season has been much lower due to a schedule that involved four teams that were 194th or lower in total possessions per game last season. They should get an offensive boost against a Cleveland State team that entered Monday 235th in the nation in points allowed on a per possession basis.
Cleveland State vs. Minnesota Over 135 (Greg’s handicapped total 141.5)
Hampton vs. UMBC
7:00 PM ET
After ranking fourth in total possessions per game last season, UMBC’s games are averaging just under a possession more per game this season and they face a Hampton unit that ranked 325th in points allowed on a per possession basis last season. As of Monday, Hampton was 192nd in that category so far this season.
Hampton vs. UMBC Over 146.5 (Greg’s handicapped total 163.5)
Bethune Cookman vs. Tulane
7:30 PM ET
Tulane has finished in the top nine in total possessions per game each of the past two seasons. While they appear to be slowing down that tempo from past seasons, they have an opportunity to let their offense fly against a Bethune Cookman team that has allowed two of their four opponents this season to score over 90 points.
Bethune Cookman vs. Tulane Over 147.5 (Greg’s handicapped total 157.5)
Southern Utah vs Loyola Chicago
8:30 PM ET
While Southern Utah is currently 4-0, two of those wins came against non-Division I teams while the other two were by six points or less against Omaha and Florida International. This is a big step up in competition against a Loyola Chicago unit that entered Monday not allowing opponents to get second-chance scoring opportunities, ranking 10th in defensive rebound percentage.
Loyola Chicago -12 (Greg’s handicap Loyola Chicago -18.5)
