Puerto Rico Open Best Bets and Golf Odds:
With a limited field at the Arnold Palmer Invitational “Signature Event,” the PGA Tour full-field event is at the Puerto Rico Open.
Denmark’s Niklas Norgaard (18-1) won the British Masters and finished runner-up at the Soudal Open last year on the DP World Tour to earn a PGA Tour card.
Ryan Gerard (25-1) was 11th here two years ago and has three finishes of 25th or better in his last three starts.
Kevin Roy leads the PGA Tour in Total Driving, and he’s priced at 28-1 along with Bud Cauley.
Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (30-1) won three times on the Challenge Tour in 2024 and nearly earned his first DP World Tour victory four weeks ago at the Qatar Masters before settling for a runner-up.
A host of players are slotted at 35-1, including Chan Kim, Adam Schenk, Adam Svensson, Patrick Fishburn, Pierceson Coody, Rico Hoey and Matt Wallace, who won an alternate event two years ago at the Corales Puntacana Championship.
Defending Puerto Rico Open champion Brice Garnett is 40-1 this week.
The EventÂ
The Puerto Rico Open began as an alternate tour event in 2008 and has maintained that status ever since. From 2008 to 2015, this event was opposite the WGC event at Doral before going opposite the WGC-Dell Match Play in 2016 and 2017. Two years ago, it was the alternate event to the WGC-Workday Championship and both this year and last year, it is held opposite the Arnold Palmer Invitational. There was no event in 2018 because of Hurricane Maria, so a Puerto Rico Open Charity Day one-day event was held in its place.
While the winner does not earn an invitation to the Masters, he does earn a two-year PGA Tour exemption and a spot in next week’s Players. Championship.
The Field
Here is the 132-player field for this week’s Puerto Rico Open:

The Course Â
The Grand Reserve Country Club in Rio Grande, on the northern coast of Puerto Rico and about a 40-mile drive northeast of San Juan, has hosted the Puerto Rico Open since its inception in 2008. The course is a typical coastal resort track that was designed by Tom Kite in 2004. It is a par-72 of 7,506 yards and is an exposed parklands that can be susceptible to windy conditions. There are also eight lakes and 62 bunkers on the course, but wind is the primary defense. The fairways and greens are both Paspalum and those greens are relatively large (6,500 square feet) and slow (10.5 stimpmeter).

Selections
Chan Kim (33-1, FanDuel)
The eight-time Japan Golf Tour and two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner still seeks his first PGA Tour victory, but this could be a good spot for him as he has gone well on Paspalum (first for Strokes Gained: Putting last 20 rounds on the surface) of late finishing sixth at the Corales Puntacana Championship and eighth at the Mexico Open last year.
He was 17th at the Mexico Open two weeks ago and 32nd last week at the Cognizant Classic.
Rico Hoey (35-1, FanDuel)
Hoey is second for Strokes Gained: Off The Tee and seventh for Total Strokes Gained in this field over the last 50 rounds.
He led the field last week for Strokes Gained: Tee To Green and was second for Strokes Gained: Ball Striking at the Cognizant Classic but was miserable putting, which dropped him to a finish of 25th. Perhaps a switch to Paspalum will be what the doctor ordered.
Ben Kohles (50-1, FanDuel)
Kohles was sixth here last year and 16th two years prior.
The four-time Korn Ferry Tour winner is also in the top 10 of the field for Strokes Gained: Putting on Paspalum.
Adrien Dumont de Chassart (60-1, FanDuel)
ADdC was sixth here last year and thirrd at the end of the year in the Bermuda Championship.
He has played mostly a mix of DP World Tour and Korn Ferry events in 2025, including an eighth at the Qatar Masters and a 24th at the Bahrain Championship, both of which were played on Paspalum.
Danny Willett (110-1, DraftKings)
The 2016 Masters champion and former European Ryder Cup team member is 431st in the world and still searching for form since coming back last year from a shoulder surgery that forced him to miss most of 2023.
He has made only four of his last 13 cuts worldwide but has made three of his last five and finished T-9 at the Farmers Insurance Open earlier this year.
Justin Hastings (120-1, FanDuel)
Unlike nearly all of this week’s field in Puerto Rico, Hastings already received his Masters invitation, having won the Latin America Amateur Championship in January.
The amateur, who plays for San Diego State, represents the Cayman Islands and finished 13th two weeks ago at the Mexico Open.
