Gulfstream Park Predictions:

We are excited to announce a renewed partnership with the fine folks and handicappers at 1/ST BET. Jeremy Plonk will be sharing his expertise on a weekly basis to pass along some ponies that they like for races at various tracks around the country.
For this Thursday, December 4 article, Jeremy Plonk shares everything you need to know for the racing card for Gulfstream Park.
Gulfstream Park | Race 1 | 12:20 pm ET
#5 Striking Finale (20-1 morning line odds) didn’t show much of anything in two starts so far, a turf sprint and a dirt sprint. But trainer Mike Trombetta conditioned the dam, Souper Striking, to the Hilltop Stakes win at Pimlico around two turns on turf (similar to this trip), and I like that they’re protecting this homebred in an optional claimer. Trombetta didn’t do much early in last year’s Championship Meet, but in 2022 and 2023 popped $26, $32 and $98 winners for a wild $3.00 ROI for every $1 bet during those 36 December starts.
Win-place bet #5.

Gulfstream Park | Race 5 | 2:24 pm ET
#5 Drink N Wink (5-1 morning line odds) gets a big rider upgrade to Tyler Gaffalione and it’s notable trainer Fernando Abreu is a 22% winner in December at Gulfstream Park from 2022-’24 at the start of the Championship Meetings. Those numbers jump in December claiming races to 35% wins, 45% in the exacta and a $1.45 ROI for every $1 bet from 20 starters. Seems like go time for a horse with consistent form.
Win bet #5. Exacta box with #6 Tall Story for a Joe Orseno barn that’s been highly profitable to back early in recent Championship Meets as well.
Gulfstream Park | Race 7 | 3:24 pm ET
#5 Miguel’s Belle (6-1 morning line odds) should fit very nicely at this 5-1/2 furlong distance. He’s won his last two bids over the dash trip on dirt, October 25 and August 2. A troubled trip last time out soils his form and likely helps expand our price a bit. Trainer Amador Sanchez reclaimed the runner whom he won with two starts back and note this barn hits 23% wins and 41% in the exacta at this 5-1/2 furlong dash distance the past four years at Gulfstream.
Win-place bet #5. Daily Double 5-1 to Itza Lock in Race 8. Pick Three 5-1-5 ending with Bibi Dahl in Race 9. We’ll try to use this nice price on a couple of highly logical favorites to close the card.
